Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
In this video Matt and I will walk you through the basics of sandblasting with an inexpensive outdoor sandblasting gun for use with your air compressor. We use different sandblasting media for different results and show how you can DIY at home.

I do commercial sandblasting during the summers. One thing you guys don't mention is safety with the sand. A lot of people who decide to do this at home use regular play sand as their media and this is a very BAD idea. Using sand to sandblast is a very good way to contract silicosis and is not good for your lungs in general. A simple dust mask is not enough when dealing with this stuff. A fully filtered respirator is needed to be safe, as well as sealed goggles. In general, I stay away from sand all together. It's too course for most work I do. Better alternatives are crushed walnut or crushed glass. Both are much safer to use as well.

What about glass bead blasting? Still need to use a respirator or will a P95 mask work?

I know it's been 6 years but I wanted to let you known anyways they do mention it in the first minute that you will need earplugs, a respirator and safety glasses.

Never seen somebody using a pisspot helmet as sandblasting gear. Props for originality.
Awesome guys! Thank you for using the Speed Blaster... I have been looking to buy one and wanted to see someone use it before I bought it!

No problem, harbor freight also has a bucket one too that is better if you have a lot to blast because you don't have to refill it very often.
Been wanting to get one just did not know if they worked or not seeing your vid I am going out and getting one now thanks...
Thanks in a million. Great content. Awesome imagination. Grade: A++💥
thank you so much ... ur video are great
Excellent.
Bro cool video! I've been watching you for a while... just found this vid. 👍Thats what I do....
@BleepinJeep What psi do you need and an ideal size compressor? Mine runs max at 115 psi but only 50 litre capacity with a 1.1 kw motor, is my compressor powerful enought to run a sandblaster? or will it work but for only a minute at a time before the pressure has to build back up again
Looks good but I would like see the compressor and the airpresser using with this gun thanks sunil from srilanka
thank you
Dear What kind of baking soda you are using? The normal one used in kitchen?
what are the components that make up you sand blaster system
I started holding my breath at 1:45. At 1:50 I realized what I was doing :O
I've never blasted with a hopper style gun, I've only blasted in small to medium sized cabinets where the blasting material is recovered and re-used. How much material did you use on, say, just the axle in the video? Also if you had to use a hopper style gun but had to do it in a garage or something, what's the best way to prepare the area for easiest cleanup?

uncleben03 we used maybe 8 fill ups to the hopper. probably not a good idea to do this indoors...
Might need to hit that fire hydrant (and the wall) when your done with the axle. I think your dog might have kidney stones as well.

I wonder, where can I buy one kilogram bag of kidney stones, for harsher rust and grime removal?
So the main idea is like sandpaper but it's using pressurized sand?
You guys need to do a rear quarter panel cut fold video BleepinJeep

I wish someone would explain what psi and what tips to use. it's a into that does explain really nothing.
Hey can we sandblast these walls and paint them again?
Its just for lighty blasting around fuel line were you dont need or want too cut too much
I'm wondering if my wheelbarrow style compressor @ 12.5cfm/135 psi will offer enough air to drive a small hand held or small pot blaster. The math says yes so long as the cfm's are challenged to close to the limits of the compressor. What say you?
@bleepinjeep

+Swede Jr. I'm no good at math but I'd say any compressor will work, but the smaller the air tank, the more you'll have to stand around and wait for the tank to build back pressure.
What CFM output do you need from your compressor to operate that blast gun?
@boomstickkid

Kevin Hornbuckle its rated for 10cfm at 100 psi. you will need a 60 gallon 220v compressor to run this consistantly if you plan on doing alot of blasting. you will be dissatisfied if trying to blast alot with these little hopper type guns. they are very unefficient aswell. a pressure pot is much better and faster.

+Guinelle1 can you use aluminum oxide in those pressurized blasters?
is that fire hydrant real?
I just was curious on how it worked and what it even was but now ngl I’m hokked
Nice video...i want to buy the same type of sand blasting gun for hobby applications...but...did you kill some kind of animal chained to the fire hydrant...is that blood stains in the garage wall?. jaja. Very instructive video...what pressure did you use with that tool?

Nothin' like a rear end full of sand to make your day. Hey.I'm bored.
Can you use play sand? what is soda stuff called and where do you buy it? thanks
@awkwardotter13

I know this is years old but Someone else commented and said play sand can cause health issues, it would be good to research though.
This isn't what i expected. I thought sand blasting would make the rusted iron like new. But it didn't.
My names matt
But this gun takes lots of time
))))
NO SAND.
Try shooting at 90 degrees (perpendicular) from gun to the work surface to improve the effectiveness. In the video you can see he is not shooting anywhere close to 90 degrees which is why it is clear that the is not removing as much material and as quickly as you might have expected. By the way dude, aluminum soda cans are not anodized. The graphics and colors are printed using ink... typically UV cured these days.
Who or what shit on that fire hydrant ? 😳
Painful
OFF LINE :D :D :D :D
you clearly are no sandblaster not a clue lol
