I'm a huge Naschy fan, but he is an aquired taste. I love Night of the Werewolf and consider it the best el hombro lobo film. I can't recommend Curse of the Devil enough once you start diving into his films. Also hunback of the Morgue shows his versatile acting ability. Check that out first on the next volume. They are not all golden, but he has many gems to discover

Great to see you covering Naschy's work. His stuff can be wildly variable in terms of quality, but there are very good things his output.I have a soft spot for Vengeance of the Zombies, and he's been in some decent Giallo-type thrillers.Kudos to him for homaging Universal-style monster movies, too!Greatly enjoying your channel.

I need to check out more Naschy. I've only seen Horror Rises from the Tomb(I also picked up on the Fulci vibes) but the other movies in this set intrigue me as well. Especially Night of the Werewolf. Do you read many film related books? I know Troy Howarth wrote a book about Naschy that might be worth checking out. Howarth does a lot of commentaries on Italian genre and cult movie blu ray releases and he really knows his stuff.

Never really got into Paul Naschy - I thought the movies I saw were pretty boring and not very consistent within themselves. I seem to recall there was very little continuity between the films other than the character of Waldimar Daninsky. I admit I only saw a couple of the Daninsky films, along with Count Dracula's Great Love, and they just seemed slow and not particularly terrifying. I look forward to your series, however - hope that I can gain more of an interest in and understanding of his films. Thank you!

x Speaking of Vincent Price...I watched Edward Scissorhands last night for my birthday. o It was released on my birthday in 1990, and I watched it again (for the second time) last night, 33 years after its release! (We saw it in the theaters when it came out) x In reference to Jaws...I could talk forever about those films as that is one of the most unusual franchises (for its progression of the films) that I have ever seen. x I was a Spanish major in college (Double Major of Sociology and Spanish, graduated in 2002). x After watching this video, I am planning on watching Naschy's Night of the Werewolf and The Wolfman (2010) on The Wolf Moon (the first full moon of the year) on January 25th. o I have never seen a Naschy film before but they look like films I might like.

My first approach to horror films was to see as a child, on Spanish TV and in the program "My favorite terrors" of the director Chicho Ibañez Serrador, one of the best known films with Naschy, "The night of Walpurgis" (The werewolf versus the vampire woman). Those slow motion vampires stayed in my memory for many decades, until the film became available on the net.

Paul Nachey is an acquired taste for sure. But once u acquire that taste u begin to really enjoy his films. I have both volumes from Scream Factory and some others. All of them are fun watches and in my opinion r very original. There is nothing else like a Paul Nachey film. Thank u for bringing to the forefront a little known film maker

Good video, I will admit, the 2 naschy films I saw I didn't like, but I want to give him another chance. BTW, I thought your Spanish pronunciations were ok, but I hate to be "that" guy and correct you just on one, which is his real name: Jacinto, which is pronounced "Haceento", sorry for being that annoying guy, if I made a video in English you'd be correcting me every other word. the important thing of any video is its content, and this was quite interesting and enjoyable, and like I said, I want to give naschy another chance and you just gave me the perfect excuse

I wish someone would release these movies individually. I refuse to have Blue Eyes of a Broken Doll on my shelf. Everyone has a line and mine is any kind of animal violence. That pig scene in Blue Eyes is worse than anything in Cannibal Holocaust or Cannibal Ferox combined. Surprised you didn’t mention that.
