Intro to GitHub Copilot in Visual Studio
Ғылым және технология
GitHub Copilot is a coding assistant powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI), which can run in various environments and help you be more efficient in your daily coding tasks. In this new series of content, we will show you how GitHub Copilot works in Visual Studio specifically and how it helps you being more productive.
In the first video in this series, Bruno Capuano shows you how you can install GitHub Copilot and GitHub Copilot Chat for Visual Studio. Then he goes through the features of both extensions and how you can use it to be more productive when writing code, analyzing your code, and discovering new features of the C# language, and Visual Studio.

I love the way Copilot let you create a bug in the code that calculates the birth year without even cautioning that the algorithm is not reliable.
Simple and effective! Thank you!!!
Muy bien compadre ..... exactly what I needed... quick and to the point...awesome, keep them coming !
What an amazing AI feature from GitHub! It will definitely revolutionize the coding and development 👌👌
Espectacular !!!! Gracias bruno por todos esos tips.
There should be a way to accept suggestions word by word. Copilot sometimes create suggestions that fill the entire screen, and most of the time only the beginning is correct. E.g. I'm going to make a method, and it creates the correct signature for it, but then it also want to fill in the full implementation too.
Ufff Gracias, demasiado buenas las explicaciones y se agradece bastante
Awesome!
The slash commands are extremely enticing, but from the site it looks like they're only available starting at the second paid tier, is that correct? If so, that's quite unfortunate. :(
Thanks for sharing this video! Why do I not have the askvs command in the GitHub Copilot chat?
Awesome
Good video, I realized that I hadn't installed the chat. A small suggestion to the author is to work on pronouncing "suggestion" correctly. Luckily, the subtitles worked flawlessly.
la hiciste simple, que crack
Issue : Auth Status: NotAuthorized. You don't have access to GitHub Copilot.
Where is dark mode?
Does someone knows why I don't have askvs slash command? I only have doc, explain, fix, help, optimize and tests.

maybe update IDE and Extension to the latest version if you haven't already.
It's not much use for php development or any other language that has had updates in the last 3 years. It doesn't know anything after Sep 2021 (it's May 2024). it only knows up to php 8.0 (which isn't supported anymore, the latest version is 8.3.7). I'm guessing this will be the same problem with all languages.
Cost? 🤔
Alt + / does nothing for me.

Oui pareil, c'est moins pratique a utiliser, surtout quand on le voit fonctionner dans VSCode ou IntelliJ. Ici, pas de chat a proprement parler, l'inline suggestion accessible si authentifié, le chat (quel chat?), bof bof

$10! Not worth it.
“Step 1, install extension” Oh well stopped at the first stage by work policies blocking me from installing my own software.
