Sierra Boggess as Cinderella is utter perfection

I love Anna Kendrick...but why didn’t Sierra boggess play Cinderella in the movie? She seems like a perfect choice for the role, and I would LOVE to hear a professional recording of her singing these songs!

She was also in Love never dies, Les Miserable, The little Mermaid, Master class, School of Rock but yes when choosing actors for the movie musicals they base it on more in big name actors and actors who are going to sell the seats then musical theater background!

Anna is more of a mainstream actress but I love her portrayal nonetheless! Laura Osnes was apparently reading for Cinderella during the movie workshop but I forget if that was legit.

I get what you're saying but I felt like Anna kendrick was the best casting in a stage to film musical adaption i've seen in virtually anything thats been translated - looking at you in particular Phantom and Les Mis

Shanice Williams’ acting in this was incredible, the emotions she conveyed just sitting there and crying. If I didn’t know better I’d guess it wasn’t acting although I’d be sobbing if Sierra was singing to me with my head in her lap

Actually it’s Shanice Williams not Hailey Kilgore. Kilgore was Rapunzel. Williams was Little Red Riding Hood.

I love how Shanice is truly crying during this beautiful song, it makes me cry too...so beautiful and touching.

The first notes brought tears to my eyes. Sierra is simply so talented.

Shanice is just beautiful, she really made this song hit home in new ways for me and I've been listening to it for half my life.

The singing in this is amazing and the costumes...well uh the singing is great

I am so so happy I was able to go to this show, the cast was amazing and as someone who doesn’t cry, this song, no matter who sings it, always makes me tear up!

I'm mad at the wigs though.

Sierra boggess exactly sounds like Kim Crosby but a bit soothing and finer that puts you to slumber or makes you sober because it makes you remember a mother's love from her voice.

You should really change your title. Pretty disrespectful to not even properly name the girl who plays Little Red Riding Hood. Many people have brought it up, and you truly don't have that many comments to look through to see this.

This heartbreaking song was utterly ruined by whatever-the-fook was on Jack's head....between the wig and the hat, just a whoooole lotta nope...poor guy....and why did it feel like it was gonna turn into a love song between the Baker and Jack? Why did they have to be practically on top of each other? Belly to belly....lol

can't help but agree. Gaten was no help in saving the scene between the both of them either. Pretty dissapointed in their performances here. Why not cast more capable folks, instead of those with less talent but more clout, I'll never understand.

Boggess as Cinderella here and the Baker are flat with no legato. Boggess breathy warbly short phrased and singing the wrong notes in this very tricky show gets away with murder. Sadly she sounds incredibly messy here and has been flailing for years beaming her way out of it. Also the direction was just awful with " Jack, your mother's dead" delivered like a a box at your door. Absurd. The audience was laughing in the wrong places as well. A tough show not for silly performers. The Red Riding Hood was incredible in this production however.

News flash - the original cast used microphones too. You just didn't see them because it was on TV and they had cameras on the stage. Seriously, why don't you go see an actual Broadway show sometime? EVERYBODY USES MICROPHONES ONSTAGE NOWADAYS.
