Everything recorded on the day was legal 😁 We are allowed to collect up to 20 fish, but not for re sale ! Only allowed to re sell offspring of the fish.

Awesome video, Australia is very beautiful, it was so cool to see so many rainbows in their natural environment!!!
Great video Nick I enjoyed watching that, it was really nicely edited and was a great day, I'm happy you enjoyed the little adventure, it was sad to see how much destruction the floods had on the last two places, QLD. Water were working hard to establish the Val beds ad this would of been really disheartening to them, but the river always comes back eventually, Thanks for the fun day I had with you and all your friends and a big Thanks to Kaity for supplying lunch, looking forward to our next adventure 🙂
It's great to see young people who understand the wonderful resource that older people can be.
One of your best videos really enjoyed seeing the Rainbow fish in their natural habitat.

Nice man! Living the dream! Congrats!
This was perfection! It looks like you had a blast. Those ecosystems were so beautiful. Thank you for sharing with us your adventure! I would love to see more of these in the future.
I didn't even know that Australia had a rainforest, this is pretty cool.
Nick, crazy AWESOME....THANKS
What a wholesome trip. Pleas do more! I really enjoyed this video.
Tremendous video! I'm living vicariously through you guys right now. We're having a blizzard here: 9 degrees below zero, 40 mph winds, a real arctic storm. Nice escape watching your video, thank you. Greetings from Indiana, USA.
Awesome pictures. Thanks to you all. Have just subscribed to @australianbiotopes and off to watch Kaity’s video too. Great to see such strong populations in our local waterways.
Hey Nick. It's the first time I have commented in a long while. Just want to say I'm still here and still being inspired. Thanks for your help, my fish are breeding now and healthy as ever thanks to you. Loved the video as always, I did get a little snea peek from Kaity's video but tbh you topped the cake. you have always been so professional but damn the change from your old videos to these new ones are insane. that editing and video shots are crazy good! i also recently visited a creek similar to these and found heeps of val beds, sucks that spot had been tso run down so much, specially for those lungfish

I enjoyed seeing the Rainbow fish in their natural habitat. 👍
Epic knowing such pristine aquatic environments are a stone's throw from bris. Well filmed thanks guys
It's nice to see where some of the aquarium fish I see at stores come from. I live in America and go out to observe our native fish but I don't see videos about it from other countries often. Thanks for the awesome footage.
Nick, that was incredible. I honestly can’t think of another video that I have enjoyed more than this one.

now that EVERYBODY knows where this is - there won't be a fish, a yabbie, a plant left in that stream or others nearby. Everybody will want what's there & it will be stripped entirely. This is a VERY BAD THING they're doing!
So beautiful landscape and creek! Thank you for sharing
Super video, so enjoyable, so beautiful.
Wow. No words. Stunning. Amazing. Beautiful. Magical.

constantly taking from the environment will eventually cause extinction - why can't the prevention of that be a priority?? It's all about 'I want' - that's the trouble.
The best video so far Nick , you have made a huge effort with this one, congratulations, I hope this gets the views it deserves, well done and thanks for sharing
Amazing!
After all the yrs of fantasizing a move to Australia your vids illustrates the complete reason for the fantasy. The birds too. It's a must watch more than once to absorb it all. Just love it.
Thank you! I really enjoyed this.
brilliant stuff.. love the idea of local fish breeders spreading local fish species back into the aquarium hobby.

As always well done! Nice to see the landscape in that part of Australia!! A terrific New Year to you!
Can't believe this is your backyard thats so cool
Hi, it,s Mac from England. I really enjoyed the video, 30 years ago when my childrens were just kids we used to go to a river where there would be 20 or so kids in it useing hand nets to catch minnows and sticklebacks but 10 years ago I took my grandson there and there wasnt any fish < they had been mostly killed off by farmers who put pesticides on their crops but when it rained the poison ran off into the river and killed off the eco system. I have 2 ponds in my garden, 1 with goldfish of various kinds and the other is a wild pond with frogs, tadpoles, toads, and newts. we have dragonflies in the summer months plus allsorts of insects in the pond. I look forward to your next video. all the best, Mac.
Beautiful water shots. Construction equipment looks like they're going to be doing road work with the grader and road reclaimer.
This is beautiful. I will keep buying Bug Buffet to support!
I really love seeing these kinds of videos. Seeing what the habitat looks like is very educationally and enjoyable. Thanks! I would love to see more.
Great change of pace for us viewers as well. Beautiful land! Inspirational footage. Nice job!
This is probably your best video yet! I was so captivated all throughout. Brilliant work!
This was amazing! I'm from northern Europe and for me it was so interesting to just see Australian nature, especially the part of nature in which I as an aquarium enthusiast am the most interested in. Would definitely like to see more videos like this! :)
