Those 2 films are great but at best people know what The Raid is, and at best people know who Joe taslim is and that he started in both those movies. That's the sad truth imo, but dude deserves so much more recognition. Would love to see him in franchises like John wick, the mcu, mission imposible, etc.

Joe Taslim as Sub Zero Single Handedly the greatest decision in the history of Mortal Kombat. He's an amazing Martial Artist and he's a badass actor. I hope whoever the pick for Kuai Liang will be just as badass.

Or, Joe can just continue as Sub Zero and be Kuai Liang. Just a little tweak in the story that Bi Han and Kuai Liang are twins and all set. Joe already attached to the role of Sub Zero so it would be a waste to change him. Besides, Noob is forever masked/black faced so it doesn't matter if different actor play as him.

I was on the film set and was less than 10 metres from Sub Zero while he was going through his moves in the street! The street was quiet and all you could hear was the noise of his costume moving about, as he moved his arms. Definitely a wow moment!

Jessica McNamee is a perfect choice to play Sonya Blade! Sonya is so badass, powerful, strong, legendary and beautiful. The Queen of MK since 1992! ❤️💪👑

The chemistry among the cast is amazing! Its like they fought in a war together. One question I would've asked Max regarding that hat is if it is actually as sharp as it looks.

I love the big smile on Joe’s face when he is referred to as “Sub-Zero” and how he laughs at the “I got chills” pun. He did awesome!! 💙 Still, there are three people who stole this movie from the others. Joe Taslim, Hiroyuki Sanada and Josh Lawson. Easily. Runner up is Max Huang.

Hearing kano’s actor talking normally as of outside the rough aggressive and sarcastic tone he carries throughout the movie is kinda wholesome

To Joe SubZero, yeah the costume might be uncomfortable to move in but it looked amazing on screen.

You're so lucky, being able to know all of them and to talk to them. I've waited years for this film. And saw it last friday, finally. It's amazing. I'm glad most of the people loves this film, so far. Only in my country do most people say it sucks. Guess what - my country sucks so much more. @@Refining1 lol except for Mileena. I personally think it's an awful interpretation of mk .... The reviews are not good. These "interviews" are promoting tactics to brainwash you to like the movie even though it isn't good. If you like the movie fair enough, but it could of been 10 times better, it's Hella tamed and cringe. It's all about casting their all nice people sure but imagine if Amber Heard was cast as Sonya? This movie instantly would get negative impact, even though I think Amber Heard would of nailed Sonya.

I disagreed with most of the casting choices when they were revealed and have gotten attacked for it and blocked by Greg Russo - the writer - on Twitter (who seems very sensitive and insecure about his work which is not a good sign)! I'm just trying to look at things on the bright side because what's done is already done and the only thing we can do at this point is produce our own MK film if we ever want to see an adequate one.

But problem is - Hollywood is a very self centrred political place, I'm pretty certain there were a lot about of other better casting choices, but Mileena in this movie is a Joke, just plain joke - her existence in this film doesn't even make sense at all... Even if there ARE clones introduced later in sequels... Still doesn't really make sense, as someone else will play Kitana, and as Mileena IS Kitana's clone they butchered that story line completely. And yes the cast for Raiden is weak. Hate saying that because both him and Sisi Stringer are nice people, In fact Sisi makes a great assassin just not Mileena... Shame because if they would of just made a character swap Sisi Stringer as Jade that would make more sense as Jade has worked along side Shang Tsung Anyway... I'm a perfectionist and a huge MK fan - not expecting miracles but Hollywood has had almost a decade to nail a new mk movie and this one has so much issues, like they didn't need to introduce Cole Young - and not to spill anything but in the movie they all have "abilities" ... "Special powers"... Meaning Cole young gets his abilities from Raiden...It's so X Men inspired its laughable. The lighting looks really good, it's dark and mysterious just how mk is.... Shang Tsung & Jax looks the best in my opinion... Also another annoying think - the fighting scenes keep switching scenes from one another... I can't stand that, one minute Cole is fighting Goro then switches to Mileena and Sonya... I rather see 1 long fight... I can't wait to hear Maxmillion Dood's review towards the movie HE always tells the absolute truth and is critical as hell with no no BS.

I would only have cast Sisi as Tanya as Tanya is an already established black female character in the franchise and Sisi would easily pull off Tanya's classic look and personality. Jade comes off as more of a Zoe Saldana type actress. And yea, even one of the leakers who's seen and reviewed this film said that Cole Yung was completely unnecessary, which everyone figured he would be but the hard-headed producers apparently didn't. And you're absolutely right; a lot of it is about politics and parlor tricks. I mean the Joss Whedon vs Zack Snyder vs Warner Bros. is a clear example of that! That's why fan-made films here on KZread are often much better than the studio productions. That's why we have to create our own Hollywood. But I'm trying to put together a creative team, myself, and it sounds like you would make a great addition. I'm a perfectionist as well so I completely understand it.
