The CG for the ice and the fact that Bi-Han's hand gets frostbitten as he uses his power is a nice touch. Not to mention the Lin Kuei being Chinese and the Shirai Ryu Japanese as they are in the game.

@@kyllewilliams3899 So far, it's looking like it's actually Bi-Han and not Quan Chi in disguise like most media. But before Quan Chi existed in MK4, Bi-Han WAS the murderer of Hanzo and his family. Might be going a different direction with this storyline.

I think that’s actually going end up being Quan Chi impersonating Bi Han. Look at the way he stands with his hands behind his back. Also, he has trouble with holding ice in his hand. Look at the way he’s sitting when Hanzo approaches him. He is acting like a mischievous sorcerer, not a Lin Kuei.

All this characters you see in the trailer like kabal,goro,natara,scorpion,reiko,reptile etc..only in the film for MINUTES.they all get killed literally at the same time during back and forth camara cuts...only kids gonna like this movie.its ok but not what yall a**holes are expecting 💯

1:43 In the original timeline of MK, it was never mentioned that Hanzo had a daughter, so she was likely retconned into this movie.

Looks like they are doing a lot of retcons with the Mortal Kombat story. In the original storyline, Quan Chi kills the Shirai Ryu & then tells Hanzo Hasashi that Bi-Han killed the Shirai Ryu. Jax also gets the cybernetic arms by himself to prep for Mortal Kombat, Sub-Zero doesn't freeze them off

Well in the games I'm pretty sure Hanzo doesn't have a daughter, but that's just one of the changes. I enjoyed this tease..Hiroyuki Sanada did an incredible job with acting when he found he dead wife and son. I mean it got me in my feelings man.

Lmao I've been getting mk ads on every single video on this platform I have watched the last month and a half lmao.

I literally got Hawkeye from the beginning of endgame vibes because we all knew what was about to go down

I have seen it from Spain and being a fan of mk I liked it, well interpreted characters, many pelwas and references, the two hours go by very quickly, the end leaves you wanting more!

Hiroyuki Sanada blew my mind! I didn’t know if an older scorpion could work but it did. He was amazing.

Fun fact 1: during the filming, director Simon McQuoid actually had to ask Joe Taslim to slow down during fight scenes because he was moving too fast for the camera to track. Fun fact 2: Hiroyuki Sanada was 58 years old during the filming of this movie. Fun fact 3: The movie originally had an NC-17 Rating, but several gory and brutal scenes were later trimmed down to attain an R Rating.

Saw an advanced screening in IMAX tonight. Overall thought it was a fun and enjoyable movie. Definitely felt like the movie needed an additional 30 or so minutes to flesh out the story/characters. Best way to describe it would be it's an average/good movie sprinkled with moments of greatness. Keep your expectations realistic and I'm sure you'll have a fun time with this movie. 6/10
