Armand with his wattpad account. lmao - falling for two men who don't wanna live by coven rules, who wanna be out in public, doing human things, experiencing and learning new skills. Louis, a theater-hater, forever tied to 3 theater kids.

If you notice, technically, Claudia's violated three of the laws (intentionally and unintentionally): she was a child when turned, she writes about being a vampire in her diaries, and she killed her maker. I think this episode showed the coven knows or strongly suspects Claudia and Louis are lying. That convo between Santiago and Claudia hints at it. Santiago talked about his master being killed because he broke the laws, showing that abiding by the coven rules was paramount regardless of the relationship. (Aside: I detected some bitterness from Santiago toward Armand about killing his maker). Also in that convo, Claudia said she learned how to lie well from her maker. Santiago said he learned how to be a good mimic and he could fly. Then he switched gears suddenly and asked her where she and Louis were from. You notice he lingers and then says "stick with it, Puce. You're almost there." I kinda got the indication he knew she was lying. That he was really saying, your lie is almost convincing.

Lestat told them not to go to Europe, but he SHOULD'VE told them to stay away from any covens with a hard-on for the Great Laws.

I don’t think Lestat cares about the damn rules at all but also I don’t think he was planning to go back to Europe ever again or allow Louis or Claudia do that. He was an abusive controlling asshole but I do believe that part of his motivation was the need to protect them from the horrors he went through in Europe (failing of course to realise that keeping them in dark is unwise to say the least). Also he did note that Claudia is too young but I believe he only later fully realised how hard he f-ed the whole thing up.

I wonder if Claudia saying "we had an incinerator at home" is giving anything away. I mean, she and Louis already told the coven that they didn't really stay in one place, and the presence of an incinerator seems to imply long-term residence. Then again, the coven might be playing with them and already know everything from mind-reading.

Yeah, I caught that to. They were supposed to be nomadic, but she told Sam they had an incinerator at their home. I think they already know that Louis and Claudia are lying. Them making Claudia play a little girl on stage and telling her that she will play that character for decades is just intentionally cruel. They know that it will really bother her, and they also know she won't be there very long. They are vicious, devious, petty, cruel bastards.

When Armand said he's known for months I screamed "I knew it!!!!" But I do wonder how much does the coven know. They know they're lying, but to what extent? Cuz Santiago ready to pounce! Lol

Sorry in advance but I have a novel here: This episode was my favorite so far! Every time Lestat was on screen, I loved it! What a drama queen!! He was so funny, so annoying, no flirtatious, so campy, I couldn’t stop laughing, until Louis thought the guy in the park was Lestat & he pounded his head in. Of course Armand knew all along, I wonder if they all knew, probably. I feel really bad for Louis, the poor thing is going crazy with all the hallucinations because of his love & guilt & probably fear from the coven, over Lestat. I so enjoy when the vamps are doing one thing but can speak telepathically with another at the same time. When Claudia was being inducted into the coven & even before, how could Louis not realize that they would kill her? That he was in danger? Love love love all the powers Armand used! My heart broke for Claudia when she was telling Louis about her time with Bruce. I've read all the books so I know who Raglan James is, if you ladies are curious. Both Lestat & Armand have major control issues, right??

This is the only series with vampires where I'm like "ok, I need to be bitten by a vampire"

to be fair it does not seem that lestat ever followed the covens rules and thought they were stupid and useless. needless constrictions for them. and he was happy to turn claudia to keep louis by his side. so they could have a daughter.

IKR like if you knew you were to live forever, why bother with societal or coven rules...it's just going to make your existence taxing and boring...just gotta avoid the sun and getting killed by your own kind or found out by a mortal for obvious reasons...those are the only real ones.

I can’t imagine the hurt Claudia feels of one of the best moments of her life (a coven family) and they immediately humiliate her with the little girl part.

That humiliation is very intentional.

I don't think Lestat wanted to abide by the rules when he was in Paris, and he probably never intended to go back, especially with Louis or Claudia. He probably knew turning a child was wrong because their mind can't stand it but he was so desperate to keep Louis with him he just did it + I'm sure he didn't want them to know other vampires existed and that they had a community because he didn't want them to leave him. He did call them vicious too, sounds like he has beef with them and we don't know why It's sick that the coven would punish them for rules they didn't even know existed tho! Coven life sounds miserable Louis girl i also wouldn't join.. wdym they have a curfew Lestat didn't mention Armand he mentioned Nicky who was his human lover, the one that armand kidnapped !

1 The way how he delivered the "WHAT?!" line 👌 GIVE HIM AN EMMY 2 It seems like Louise finally finding his footing again in this episode I see confidence coming back finally 3 When Claudia specified the days and the floorboards something inside me changed I have so much sorrow and empathy for her I didn't like her much in season 1 and I don't know if that's the actress but I retroactively love her a lot more now 4 I don't believe Armand's retelling of what happened with lestat for a second

I think because in the books Louis and Lestat meet in the late 1800s but in the show the 1920s.

Idk i dont trust armand AT ALL i feel like hes changing things and making up stuff especially if hes speaking about lestat and nicki (lestats lover at that time)

Wouldn't it be crazy if it was Armand creating illusions/using telepathy with images of Lestat to haunt/manipulate Louis?

I was worried that Armand was going to kill Louis until he started fondling Louis's hair. He can't keep his hands off him like Lestat. Is anyone surprised that Louis invited Armand upstairs after telling him about his history with Lestat and Claudia not living for long? I wonder if Louis's motive is to seduce Armand to convince him not to tell the coven to kill Claudia. Do you think Armand really loves Louis or is he using him to get to Lestat? I know Lestat rejected him and I wonder if he sees Louis as a prize. On a side note, Louis did not look like he was into that kiss lol

Dreamstat is Louis’ subconscious so through Lestat we see that Louis has conflicting thoughts about Armand but he also had conflicting thoughts when he was with Lestat. I also think Louis is attracted to powerful men.

Lestat and Armand Louis can’t catch a break. But at least he want hit you. I was scared 😱 like is he go kill Louis but we see Louis in present day 😂

Claudia brought all this on herself. Lestat did warn her about the vicious vampires in Europe. Now, she's trapped. At least Armand was honest with Louis.

Lestat was also an abusive asshole. It's clear he didn't care for her in any genuine way and said several things to threaten and scare her into staying. He said what he said to get her to stay to in turn keep Louis at his side. Her only fault was hoping that not every single vampire was a dick. To hope that lestat was simply lying and not Ellington the full truth which he didn't. He kept them in the dark in several ways forcing them to find out for themselves what's truth and what's lies cause lestat refuses to actually explain anything. If anything it's his fault she sought to find family so desperately after what he put her through.

​@@jayp9881if you have read the books, you would know there's a reason Lestat didn't discuss the history of vampires with Louis and Claudia. He was also protecting them from the predatory vampires of the old world. Louis was the most human of the vampires, and Claudia was made too young, neither would be tolerated by the European vampires. He was right about the other vampires. They are going to have to learn the hard way.

i agree with everything but i do believe lestat cared for claudia in some way, i think he loved her but he didn't want her to be independent, he loved her as a child and then he acted just like an abusive parent@@jayp9881
