The way I cackled when Louis had Santiago's tongue!!! I said "Aww shoot" my toxic behind thought that was lightweight sexy. This show is bringing out my toxicity 🤣 The fact that Santiago clocked their NOLA accent should've let them know they are not safe. And Armand told Louis don't lie to them, they are not forgiving. Smh Louis is sounding real Pimp DuLac-ish with that "You sure about that Arun?" All that was missing was "I can be your, mother, your father, your everything baby"

I interpreted Daniel hovering over Kathryn Mitchell’s name as him looking for where his own name (Molloy) would’ve appeared alphabetically if he were listed as a victim in 1973.

Them nailing Claudia's foot to the stage reminds me of when she met Bruce in the first season and he broke her leg. That little song and story she's performing in the theater feels like a metaphor for her time as a vamp, and is also foreshadowing that she's going to d*e.

Best way to sum it up is, don't trust anybody, memories are a lie, people lie, vampires lie...there is a whole bunch that we know is about to go down. Recently watched an interview with the cast, and interestingly enough, Sam Reid who plays Lestat, said, you have yet to actually see "the real Lestat." We've seen Lestat as erroneously interpreted by Louis in his mind, and through his true/false memories, Lestat as interpreted by Armand, but not Lestat telling his story (to which the directors were like hint hint, Season 3). But just thinking about Lestat in this and the previous season that way really puts a good spin on this ongoing idea of what IS the truth here about these memories and these vampires.

The way I was like “ooopp 😮” when Santiago asked if Louis and Armand were companions and Armand said yes and Louis said no lmao 😂

My understanding is that we're going to get Lestat's perspective in season 3. Season 1 was Louis season 2 Armand, and season 3 will be Lestat. So I bet he's going to pop up in the season finale alive. And I can't wait. And yes, that ending had me in a clutch. I had to rewind and double-check that I didn't miss something.

In all the cast interviews, Jacob and Sam have stated plainly that dreamLestat is just Louis' mind. That's why he moves and stand and sits the way Louis does at certain points. He's a manifestation of Louis' grief process. They both said that Lestat IS Louis for most of the season. Everything that Lestat said in these first 4 episodes was Louis creating the dialogue. And Louis DID know that the initials were there. Also - its RAGLAN James - watching w/ captions helps with spelling.

On all that I love. You both are the absolute BEST. If you ever come to the Chi dinner is on me.

Aw, you talked over such a great line by Lestat. About Louis's initials inscribed on his ticket pocket so Louis's name "would always cradle his heart"

I agree Louis was selfish. He only stood up for himself, and he did not stand up for Claudia. Also, he should have given her a heads up and let her know that he had talked to Armand and revealed all the truth. He left her unprotected and vulnerable.

Louis warned Claudia that they were in danger right off the bat. She said to mind his business and that "she needed this". Louis denied Claudia had anything to do with Lestats death when asked by Armand. Louis was literally preparing to die in the sewer, and all he had to say was take care of Claudia and "tell her she's beautiful every day". Claudia made her choice. She is a forty something year old vampire, not a child. Stop blaming Louis for Claudias decisions.

I love your commentary to this show! and how we all are stunned by the beauty of the cast. (Armand with that hat in the rain-- oh boy)

I love yall! I be in the back talking right along with yall! 😂😂😂 Also, i know Claudia was happy to play that part (in the beginning) but i really didn't like Armand making her do it forcefully. It dug her wound deeper. Armand sucks.

This was my favorite episode so far. The song was sad for Claudia foreshadowing what will happen to her. But oh, so catchy. Getting Rocky Horror vibes from the audience and performance. Can't wait until we get to hear Lestat's version of the story. Glad we got Armand's backstory which for the most part is straight from the books, except his ethnicity and the exact time period. The juxtaposition of Armand be sold into sex pedo slavery to the brothel and Louis being a pimp in the show version. But do not underestimate Armand's powers and gifts to mess with others' and our minds. . .

"Louis is good" ......is he?😏😏😏It's interesting that people see Armand's and Lestat's manipulations, half truths, omissions, and flat out lies - but have trouble seeing the most obvious of Louis' manipulations, half truths, omissions, and lies. Liiiiiike, that the entire point of the show.

Nikki and Amber, I can't wait for episode 5, we are going to get the whole story of what happen, with Daniel, Louise, and Armand. I love that scene where Louise put Santiago in his place, that old pimp Louise came out. When Armand and Louise are on that park bench, and Louise said, “I'm wet.” Armand, pretty much, said, “I got you, Daddy.”

In my opinion Louis isn't right that she chose the coven over him because she didn't know Armand knew, she would have never chosen them willingly if she had known.

That soul tie - in 2x01 Dream-Lestat tells Louis he's in purgatory and I wonder if that's actually true

I was cracking up when Louie jumped across the table and laid the pimp hand ✋ down on Santiago 😆. Louie put the pimp hat back on quick fast and in a hurry. I'm afraid Louis is turning into Lestat, he's manipulating Armand, exploiting his weakness now that he told Louis how he was pimped out Louis is really back in his pimp bag now. Louis is going to used Armand's pain to control things and him, the way Lestat used and gaslighted Louis doing his worst pain after Louie's brother died, all to get Louis to agree to accept the dark gift 🎁 🧛‍♂️ .

Best moments from this episode: 1) Louis declining to claim Armand as his companion. 😏 2) Lestat laughing his ass off and mocking Louis' "I love you" to Armand. 😂 3) Armand putting interloping, murdering Claudia in her place. 😎 4) Lestat referring to Louis' relationship with Armand as "your dalliance with that manipulative gremlin." 🤣 5) Claudia enters the room, screaming at the top of her lungs. Lestat to Louis: "Speaking of poor decisions..." 😱 6) Louis and Lestat sitting on the park bench in the rain, Louis telling him the suit he's wearing is "my favorite on you." Lestat: "You might not know this, but I had the tailor inscribe your initials on the backside of the ticket pocket...right here...so your name would always cradle [my heart]..." ❤

Ok so I rewatched last week's episode (2x03) and here is the thing - While Louis and the show at large want to position his and Claudia's argument as a 'both are right' moment in ACTUALITY by revealing the truth to Armand a full night before she joined the coven and not telling her that Armand knew the truth he DID chose another one over her in that moment. Now it was for noble reasons but also selfish ones because he admittedly wanted her to be taken care of and not feel that guilt/burden of having to look after her because she can't navigate the world as the adult woman she is. But even IN this fight he lied about how Armand knew instead of taking ANY responsibility which is him, again, choosing Armand over her.

Loius didn’t lie. Armand already knew they lied about Lestat. Armand said as much to Louis when they were on their cafe date. Remember how that date ended? It ended with Louis making a scene in the cafe, killing a stranger in the park, and then having a breakdown in his dark room as Claudia was still trying to talk to him about their cover story. Louis came into the bedroom shaky and clutching his chest. He tried to tell her before she started talking over him. How many times did she yell at him to not ruin this for her or tell him how much she needed this when he said let’s leave because the coven could probably read their minds and find out what they did to Lestat?

@@glittermethis that was a different night. And the talking over him was backstory for Bruce that ended up with her telling him about her abuse & trauma. He decided for her that he could handle Armand, which again was noble in concept, but in doing so robbed her the autonomy of making a fully informed choice. If she knew Armand knew she might not have ever joined the coven officially or might have gone to another country or something for safety or urged them both too. He chose protecting his bond with Armand over her safety. So he DID pick another one over her and doesn't get to use her joining the coven against her.

​@@glittermethis He REALLY can't IMO because he in turn is also still entertaining Armand and even more so long term. He loves and cares for Claudia but part of doing that is honest communication. She couldn't make a conscious decision because he did put Armand first so he can't use that against her now to avoid accountability.

Delainey Hayes is a great singer but the song was…not so much. And Louis & Armand’s answers to Daniel about the new show….so contradictory, so funny! “Are you schizophrenic Louis?” Personally, I’m leaning towards yes he is. Actually, I just think that he’s haunted by Lestat cuz he still loves him & not only the vampire bond. Armand certainly does NOT like Louis talking about ‘the secret’ at all. Claudia & the dressmaker, do we know her name? Wow, Armand is pissed at Claudia & Santiago! Armand is wicked powerful cuz he’s so old. The movie is different as far as the relationships between all the main characters. So of course, the books are also different from the show. I’m enjoying the show the most, then the books, then the movie. I never enjoyed Santiago in the movie or the books but this one of the show, is awesome!! That episode really ended abruptly, holy shit! Was I getting that right?? In the scenes from next week, both Armand & Louis drank from Daniel????? Again, almost every time Lestat was on screen, his ‘ghost or presence’ was so funny! I'm hoping we actually see Lestat, in the flesh before the end of Season 2.
