Give Jacob his damn Emmy after that crying scene.......this show deserved to be nominated at the bigger award shows for season 1...it deserved it
It was a crime Jacob Andersen wasn’t nominated for an Emmy. Sam Reid too. And it was straight up classy that they gave Delaney a shoutout.
Such a great episode, perfect conclusion of S1 and intro to S2! I highly recommend the episode insider right after it!
WW2 started in Ep 6, by Ep 7 it was in full swing, and now they've been in Europe for 4ish years, so we're right at the end of things
subtitles ON helped me so much throughout the episode grasp the dialogue and the acting, it was an amazing return episode
They should immediately announce season 3 episode one of season 2 was beyond perfect! Get ready folks this show is about to take the world by storm I fully trust these writers to do a Queen of the Dammed season and lestats book
It wasn’t a 40 year jump. The war started at the end of season 2.
They really make it feel damn near Shakespearean and so far Claudia 2.0 is doing well
I absolutely loved that they had a storyline with the revenant vampires. In the book IWTV it mentioned that they came across them briefly so it was really cool to see them.

this is near the end of WW2? WW2 started while Louis and Claudia were still in New Orleans. They fled the US after the massacre on Mardi Gras. Louis and Claudia are in Eastern Europe trying to make their way to France in search of other vampires.
GOT, Seinfeld, Roseanne, Riverdale, to name a few...heck even as far back as Bewitched (where a lot of folks didn't even realise that there were two Darrens) shows have been known to recast characters for one reason or another. So IWTV is not the first that's had to do it. Even the F&F replaced Paul's character after he died (though that was mostly long shots with no dialogue and it was his brother) it's not very uncommon. And after watching Ep1 it's fair to say that Delainey killed it! But Istg if Jacob doesn't get his Emmy this year...

They didn’t just recast they made a statement in the beginning of the episode instead of just glossing over it, that’s what we were referring to

Exactly the others have recast but never put up a placard to start the show. The closest was Rosanne saying to the new Becky, " you look different ". 😊 The others just kept it moving. 🎉

You forgot the Jeffersons with the two Lionels who used interchangeably throughout the TV shows 10 ➕️ seasons.

This episode is amazing! I love the new Claudia. This season is so much better than season 1, in my opinion.
