The way they showed Louis saying "It's you and me, me and you" but when you look from Louis's perspective you don't know If he was talking to Claudia or Lestat! 🤔

One thing you should keep in mind about "Dream Lestat" this season is that Louis is creating him in his mind. The things Dreamstat says are things that Louis is actually thinking himself. He is expressing Louis' true feelings.

I mean, if you think about the San Francisco flashback from last season, Louis and Armand DID see Daniel across the bar and really liked his vibe 🤷

The “you and me” scene at the end of the episode touched me and broke my heart because Louis said exactly what Claudia needed to hear and he was lying to her face and knew it. It wasn’t even her and him in that moment because the obsession with Lestat was front and center. No spoilers…can’t wait to you get to episode five. 🥰

Welcome back I was wondering if you guys were gonna get to Season 2, we are already almost 6 episodes in, better late then never, I can't wait until you catch up. I am obsessed/hooked with this show it's become one of my favorites. Season 1 was incredible, and Season 2 has been just as good if not better such a treat.

As people have said, Lestat in the first few eps is 'Dream-stat': a hallucination of Lestat that exists only in Louis' mind. He is Louis' pysche, inner thoughts and turmoil essentially. So glad you're enjoying it so far, you are not ready for more of it!

About time you gays got on to season 2

People won't accept that vampires are sexually ambiguous as far as their tastes, namely in regard to gender. The first vampire or vampiress is Carmella, who had many female lovers who would transpose her name via an anagram like Mercalla when she visits some unsuspecting aristocratic family estate. One of the best iterations was The Vampire Lovers by Hammer films, which made an unofficial Karnstien trilogy based on her. The gorgeous Ingrid Pitt played the immortal vamp, who Sapphic/ lesbian tendencies were only equaled by her vampire bloodlust.

_Carmilla_ by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu if anyone is interested. Twenty-five years before Bram Stoker wrote _Dracula_ and a huge influence on the later book. I highly recommend reading it. It's very short!

I finished season 2 on Sunday and it was even better than season 1. So glad that it got renewed, I can't wait for season 3. Without spoiling anything, episode 5 and 7 were especially outstanding. This show managed to captivate me in ways no other show has in ages. I usually am on my phone while watching shows, but I remember getting to episode 5 and being so mesmerised by what was going on that I don't think I even looked away from the screen at all

the narration and point of events kinda change and turn everything on its head thoooo I LITERALLYCANT WAIT FOR YALL TO WATCH

i think you’ll really enjoy the way this season in particular has been talking about vampirism as community! there’s a lot of on the nose but touching parallels i think :)

Great reaction to the first episode!!! Can’t wait to see more reactions!!! Armand and Louis relationship seems to be more highlighted in the series which makes it more appealing. Especially with Lestat playing in Louis’ mind and his guilt. The new actress for Claudia is seriously giving me the Ester from Orphan with Jane and Alice from Twilight. 🧛🏻‍♂️🧛🏾🧛🏽🧛🏾‍♀️🩸

A lot of people think they don't dream, but pretty much everyone does, so maybe Claudia just didn't remember. On the other hand, they're not human, so who knows?

Just one bit , the reason Louis got emotional about realizing Claudia could dream was that due to his memories not being what he can recall with great accuracy, his whole personality currently was formed and based on what he read in her diaries and he whole heartedly believed that she only saw him in a negative way remember she wrote that Louis was dead weight, it’s a call back to how he interpreted his mothers feelings towards him after Paul’s death, based on words of frustration and venting. So when he realizes she could dream after writing she couldn’t told him that there’s a possibility she did love him and not see him as a monster

Hey Alex, and Josh, I'm so glad you're reacting to this show again! By the way, the scene in the bedroom was not what it seemed. There's a painting of Judas giving Jesus one of the 3 kisses that were for his betrayal of Jesus. It could foreshadow a betrayal by Armand. Armand is a bit controlling, and he seems to be hiding alot. What do you think?

What I like the most about this episode is that after all the melodrama of the last few episodes of the first season; this season starts out with 'remember this is a horror show!'. Honestly, can't wait to watch more Reactions! This season rivals if not outshines the first season. Word around the crypts is that the last three episodes are amazing. Also heard the shows main writer, Rolin Jones, has just re-upped his contract with AMC, which means that Season 3 should be officially announced any day now.

I also just read that Jones made a deal with AMC for more series. They didn't specify that would mean season three of IWTV, but I think it's just a matter of time. I also think I may like this season better than the first, which I didn't think was possible. Every episode of both seasons has been great. There's no filler episodes.

I think they might change the name for season 3. Cuz technically after this season the first book is done. Next up would be The Vampire Lestat.

I love the wampyr in the woods - that was in the book (though just barely). From what I remember, Claudia and Louis left it well alone...

i'm so excited for you to start s2 yippee! Armand is my fave character so I'm really loving this season haha. Even if it is slightly traumatic lol

I don't think that's technically a easter egg since Louis doesn't even know about them. He wasn't referencing them, he was just asking if she was looking for the origins of vampirism, not necessarily Akasha and Enkil specifically.

just an important thing: "dreamstat" as the actors call him (lestat of louis' delusion) is NOT the real lestat! that has been confirmed by the writers of the show. so basically the lestat that shows up this season is louis talking to himself

It rather shows and hints to the audience that Louis is an unreliable narrator, they’ve done this during season one as well when he was recalling certain events. It’s important to the story because its essential to know the actual events with no biases from anyone’s pov, it keeps u questioning whether what ur shown is the truth

30 Days was originally a screenplay that transitions to a cult classic horror comic to a movie. One of the best iterations of the vampire lore or mythos.

justice for lestat. we already know louis is an unreliable narrator and everyone in this show is imperfect to some degree; they’re quite literally man-eating creatures too. 💀

You guys might try the italian show Prisma. I recommend it.

"There's something horrible about 'I'm waiting for you to be happy'" -- yeah, but that isn't Lestat saying that.

Remember that all the things we are attributing to Lestat thinking and feeling are coming from Louis who is 1. not Lestat and 2. An unreliable narrator. Yes some can be true and some not. I don’t think Lestat would have no remorse over killing Louis.

11:00 Armand relative to Lestat. Those commenting about that are, of course, basing it on the books as-written, while the tv series approaches "x" characters and "y" histories differently. However, if the overall gist of the characters is maintained, though Lestat is indeed a narcissist and a bit of an asshole (with these qualities played up a little vs the novels), Armand is more manipulative/dangerous in his own way, albeit differently so in certain contexts.
