Wow what an interview! I think this is one of the most valuable interviews I've seen on KZread from a composer. Thank you Spitfire for such a great video, and to Philip for providing us with so much value :)

Agreed. One of the best videos SF have put out for sure along with Christian Henson explaining why you should grow your own samples.

Man he absolutely crushed Kara's soundtrack. Also, he seems very intelligent and just a genuinely cool dude 👍🏾

The moment when Kara escapes the house with the little girl is so powerful and well made that i'm convinced it's actually the part that sucks-in most people that play the whole game. I remember thinking "this is not a normal game, this is more"

He’s bang on. The more we rewrite, the more desperate we become with the writing. Literally went through that last month. Great video Spitfire team! This stuff gets my creative mind wandering in the right ways.

This is really fascinating, Phil - and actually covers many of the things there wasn't time to talk to you about at the Soundbank. It's funny - doing a Delia Derbyshire piece atm for the album, and decided to use HER name for that main theme! I think the gauntlet that 'adaptive' games lays down to Hollywood, which - as far as I can tell, Hollywood has yet to pick up, is an inevitable evolution of the medium. Parallels for this can be seen in Social Media trends, where - ironically - the rise in popularity of Social Media platforms, has resulted in a greater isolation in the way people live their lives. Follow that through and you see the demise of 'the cinema audience,' and free of the constrictions a 'group' would place logistically on the decision making process around the direction a film plot would take, and there you have it - adaptive films. I wonder if we'll see it in our lifetime..?
