You are gift to us, love the diagnosis and injection guidance. Could we pinch the skin in order to be sure we aren't injecting inside a tendon? Or would it be meaningful to try to move the needle like you did at the end before we inject?

Pinching skin is not needed. But you can move wrist to ensure that you are not within tendon.

Excellent Demonstration sir. We learnt many practical things from u which we missed from our teachers. I requested u in other videos also. And I request u again sir to make a video on anterior approach for hip hemi replacement/THR. Thank u so much for your wonderful teaching.

Hello Mr Singh, thanks for your great video. I have swelling on this exact spot after a heavy calisthenics workout, one difference is that I don't feel much pain when I move my wrist up and down, I feel more pain when I move it to the left or to the right and have difficulties lifting things. It just happened yesterday so I'll give it a couple of days rest.

I think I have the same problem with my right hand and it has affected me with my writing. Whenever I start writing there is an extreme pain in that area. I sometimes feel to cut off my hand as the pain is so severe. I always thought it was due to excessive writing which I usually do. But I think it's time to visit a doctor before its too late for me. Thank You Doctor , Now I understood what is wrong with my Hand.

No investigation needed. If you want you have Ultrasound and get it injected at same time.

How do you find the exact spot sir? Because steroid injections in these cases could lead to tendon necrosis. So what precautions do you take to avoid that??

You had to be in deep to dermis and above tendon. If in doubt if you are in tendon then ask them to extend wrist and your needle with move if it is in tendon.

It will work even if you had the swollen tendon for 2months with limited pain or It will be useless cause of the sclerosis? thank you dr!

No you don't need to hit bone. Just be under dermis and you will feel going in tendon so stay on top on tendon. You can move wrist to confirm position.

The video just cane to my attention. I recon, just about any steroid based treatment would render a relief. However, when one decides to inject I would prefer an ultrasound guided injection because it is far more precise ( directly beneath the tendon sheet of EXCRL an EXCRB and rarely AbPL/ ExPB) and one avoids unnecessary piercing of tendon
