Intersection Marking Tool Tutorial - Cities Skylines

Ойындар

The "Intersection Marking Tool" mod for Cities: Skylines allows players to add definition and beauty to conspicuously blank intersections. No props or decals required. Configurations can be copied and saved as templates. Lines also remain if the intersection is edited or moved with "Move It". This can turn an empty ambiguous space into something clean and defined.

This is why you have to learn, know, bind every single hotkey not only for the mods but also the vanilla C:S UI to just speedrun it like an RTS in competitive multiplayer (e.g. Age of Empires IV) to shorten the time it takes to do a standard intersection in order to MARK MORE INTERSECTIONS.

I came into this thinking I already knew everything about Intersection Marking Tool, just hoping for some handy YUMBL tips. Then I had a lightbulb moment on the offramp example when you mentioned that creating a line makes the filler follow that line instead of cut across. It had never occurred to me that that was what caused my major annoyance with IMT. Thank you so much!

This is great, thanks. Regarding your working without notes, it's actually much more relatable for me. Watching people do things quickly and perfectly in a tutorial makes them go by too fast, and it makes our early attempts to learn the content seem pitifully far from the artificial perfection seen in a error-free, fast, planned out tutorial. Also teaches out how troubleshoot when we see the presenter troubleshoot on the fly.

Two things: in the US, the chevrons always point towards the point, including for merges: mutcd.fhwa.dot.gov/services/publications/fhwaop02090/fwymarkings_lgview.htm More importantly, you may have discovered this since making this video, but the paste tool has an "invert" button, which would have allowed you to paste the offramp markings to the onramp markings. HUGE time saver! Hope that helps, and great video!

Why is this version of node controller causing an issue with the harmony dependency mod?

How does one redraw lines that are not inside of a junction? I’m Looking to match up the road lines and colors on all segments. I removed all markings on roads highways using the road surface mod but it doesn’t appear to remove them from all roads.

Skylines has been in my wishlist for a while but ive never bought it. I feel like this will become another fsctorio for me, where i spend 20 hours in a single session because ive just got to get that extra little bit of efficiency

I knew there was more to this tool. Is there a way to add one of those colored dots? I've done 5L highway into two 3L highway roads and I want to add a little pointed line to split the middle lane. I use the USRP Interstate highways mod for my freeways and highways.

Is there a way to use this tool underground? I have made a small cave entrance to a tunnel and the road stops the lines for about 100 feet. This is a key feature of my new Map, so I want to tweak it as much as possible. Thx.

You’ll probably have to sink the road before it tunnels.

I'm using the updated node controller but it does not have the 'no junction marking' option. Do you know if there is a separate setting for that?

I have been using this mod for a little while now, but am struggling with one thing. I have been matching colors like you did in the video with the bike lane filler. Do you know of any mod or something that has a color picker (eyedropper tool) that you can click on something and get the exact numbers to match a color? I have been searching but can not find such a tool.

You could take a screenshot and use any number of online pickers or ms paint. I prefer to just eyeball it though as even a pucker wont work well.
