​@jomargumboc1511 to be fair it was meant to be robotic, aka cold and not very intelligent, because most antibiotics just kill everything they can, and aren't capable of killing only select pathogens.

Morris really went through "I'm destroying the thing I love just by existing" > "I am what you made me" > "I'm going to defy fate to fix things my way" > "I'm all alone now" all in the span of one episode.

I just discovered what the morris warm was all about and seeing this kind of animation bringin it up like this makes it actually quite sad, the project was a good cause in its way, the problem was the design of the code. Just to inform who as me doesn't know what this is all about, the morris warm was a software designed to map the early internet, with something like 40000 to 60000 machines connected in the network. The process was simple: the work would have infected a machine by being directly installed into it and then exploited security weaknesses to spread to other machines, install itself onto those and then report back the information. The problem is: to make the worm work even with whoever would have protected his machine while also not double copying the software on alrealdy infected machines, the worm finding another copy of itself into a machine would have installed itself in it once in 7 times. This ratio was basically too big so after a while the whole internet was flooded with this software installing itself over and over and slowing down machines to the point of killing them. To fix this the only possible operation was to disconnect all the machines, format them and then reconnect them all. By the point of view of a potential sentient software, a strong AI, this would really be sad, luckyly our actual programs are not that much of a thing.

@@milkuetea the United States from what I hear, is having a critically low supply of Cyber Security workers Not just for the government, but domestically. Every business basically needs cyber security. As the world becomes more and more digital, cyber security is evolving along with it. The human aspect of cyber security isn't keeping up with the rate technology and cyber security keeps going. If you have a degree that specializes in cyber security, you're basically a hot commodity already.

@@Garwinium Games give you context to how the Goddesses came to be, so that's a good start. The older versions before the Rebirth series show some characters more than the modern versions. I suggest looking at a guide instead of me, i ain't the best at this.

Very little fun fact, Creeper was acutally the very first worm and more of a proof-of-concept. It simply wrote "I am the crepper : catch me if you can" on your screen. The problem was, it did that everytime it infected a pc and since it would infect pcs multiple times due to an error in its code, that happened multiple times in a matter of seconds. It nearly killed of the entire network of the company that made it. They then solved it by making another worm, Reaper, that would look for Creeper on pcs, deinstall Creeper and later deinstall itself.

This reminds me I need to catch back up on the webcomic I dropped off around here.

Morris Worm: Oh no, I’ve caused all of this Anti Virus program: Yeah, so could you just disappear please so- Morris Worm: Nevermind, it’s your fault now

Why must we humans destroy whatever we deem broken, beyond repair? I feel things for a virus program that I shouldn't, but it feels right...

Because it really was broken beyond repair haha, don't let the anime girl depiction fool you. Would have been even better if the anti-virus was depicted as an anime girl itself: "Humanity demands your destruction, morris worm... and I am their instrument."

I love this short Morris worm saga, the fight reminds me of Megaman Battle Network/ NT Warriors series

This series just keeps getting better and better. I never heard of the Morris Worm until this and this just makes me wanna research more into it. Merryweather has a fantastic way of turning seemingly banal things into something intricate and intriguing.

So happy that this is continuing ❤

Actually this is a side story to the internet Explorer one and at the end you can see why i called this a side story. Morris will come back

I waited so long for this story to continue and it just keeps getting better

I'm still torn on which is the more epic collaboration, Hinghoi or Osiimi that being said, this was the most needlessly epic and emotional comic, and I loved every second of it

I love the Morris Worm's heterochromia. She has one green eye to represent her good side, and one glowing red eye to represent her destructive program that she can't control.

Really cool premise, although I keep getting caught up on the fact that the anti-virus was portrayed as the bad one here when it is what protects most pc’s from malware. Still a cool episode

I mean, the worm doesn't work the same way on modern computers anymore from what I've searched, so she's good. Except it's kept in a floppy disk and sealed with windows with the description about it, so nevermind.

I'm impressed... I never thought you'd continue this(as i have also forgotten this series, tho i think this brought you to a million views). But as we have clearly seen, you continued it(as far as i've known i have no idea if you actually continued this on the manga)! I wonder if I would see more of Internet Explorer, now turned into Microsoft Edge, in the next Browser anime, complete with the corpo cyberpunk things they did with Windows 11 and a harem of other operating systems vying for the user's attention and appetite for using the said systems. If my expectations are allowed to go higher, can we make this more timelier with Meta and the sudden vr awareness?
