I did some research about Morris worm before and this is actually true, because of one guy with a good dream or idea, he created the virus but didn't went exactly as he thought it would happen...took a long time fix the problem which also gave the inspiration and the birth of virus creators and hackers... Hope merry shows it all in details..

It all went downhill when the guy who created it decided to just put it on the entire damn internet instead of testing it completely on an isolated system first. Good thing is that now we have protection from it. Assuming it's even compatible to modern systems in the first place.

Hmmm....im pretty sure someone has a copy of this Worm on an isolated Harddrive, like Humanity collected samples of the most dangerous Viruses and Bacteria we ever had to deal with... Somehow i think that it wouldnt be to hard to modernize it. Computersystems nowadays are pretty similiar. No matter if Android, Windows or iOS. If malware works on 1 Windows-PC, it will most likely work on every Windows-PC in the World. All Computersystems in the World are programmed to be able to interact with each other, for example a Windows PC with iOS. If these different Systems can communicate, they must have similarities, right? That means Malware can spread. I didnt mentioned Linux because im unsure how it would affect Linux Systems. The only System with hundreds of different Versions. BUT(!) the Backbone, the Internet Infrastructure, works almost entirely with Linux, which is probably the same Version. If such a Worm would exist today.....the Damage would be monstrous.

Someone creates something that is unknown to Malware-Detectors and if its a mean on (like this Worm), it replicates so fast that its already to late, when its detected :D You cant analyze what you dont notice. Luckily, most Malware-Creators arent smart enough to hide their work properly over a long time.

Yes, Morris worm was indeed created with the objective of expanding and helping the internet it failed, in the worst way possible, the initial damage done by it started at the hundreds of thousands going into the dozens of millions of dollars the internet was almost completely destroyed in the process

@@lazybuddah9639 It caused the infected computers to run multiple copies of itself eating up runtime/memory/CPU with the end result acting like a DDOS attack. Meaning slower and slower connections, and remember this was in the era of 32k/64k ram computers. The thing is it did accomplish part of it's goal of highlighting the weaknesses of network security, modern systems are well protected from this worm as it was primarily a UNIX worm, and the lessons learned from it's damage.

The best character on Internet Explorer series in my opinion. The road to hell is made with good intentions. I can’t wait to see her get developed even more.

This is why i love this channel, this people can make funny waifu comics about nay topic and shift it brilliantly from funny to serious at any given moment. First you have big chungus-chan and then there's distopic New Brave World like comics packed with existential dread, philosophical breakthrough and more importantly, waifus

It is important to note that at the beginning of this video, the voice of morris worm's author is old. When in reality, he (Robert tapan morris) was young when he created morris

Now THIS is what is what almost destroyed the internet before the internet was big.

Depends on what you are looking for. If you aren't looking for death viruses or drugs. The dark web is surprisingly normal. Sonetimes even wholesome. Someordinarygamers searched ALOT on the deepweb for random shit. Even found a cookie bakery of some sort. And alot of fake stuff. Muta is fun to watch at times
