Well as a professional spearfisherman I can definitely stunned how calm those Koreaan octopuses are in Mediterranean they are like bandits try to catch one with ganchos special hook designed for them for quick catch they are fierce and extremely powerful Im saying as a quite Tall and Big man never ever you can see in Mediterranean such peaceful octopuses. Beside just for informing others Octopus yes they are really intelligent creatures of the Seas but man you cant imagine how cruel their eating behavior they eat for example a lot of crab alive by SUCKING IT LIKE POWERFUL VACUUM ALL THE MEATS OUT OF IT PREYS EYES slurping nearly any delicious clam crab shrimp that highly priced by us Humans and they dont swim like cuttlefish or Calamari they are sediment animals with jet like propulsion system which they use to move around.

Back many years ago catch the biggest octopus in my spearfishing life in Tenerife Spain it was 18.750 kg its huge to see such big

I don't think you've ever had properly prepared and cooked squid. The average takeaways place doesn't have a clue and just uses frozen precooked which will absolutely be rubber. Done right, octopus is, personally, tastier and better textured than squid. (I my opinion) Properly prepared and cooked squid is still a very good dish.

Given what I understand about octopus breeding patterns, would it not be better to put the larger ones back? Or is there just no regulation in Korea? Don't get me wrong, I love eating octopus when I can get it. I just want all seafood to be sustainable.
