Man I love this game! As a speed hack I use, when I roll for hit location on the bomber I toss a d6 as well that way if I need a random number it’s already rolled.

Great to read that the 3rd hit didn’t count but you still have to survive a 2D6 +2 Landing roll 😬😊

You are correct. Luckily, I was able to survive the landing.

Dave, perhaps I'm reading the rules incorrectly, (I usually do) but I believe gun jams occur only on your initial fire attempt at long range. The subsequent rounds are considered simultaneous ignoring the gun jam. At least that is how i've been playing it.

I am looking at rule 7.1.6, fourth paragraph. This is where it states a gun jam may occur, except for the MG FF. It doesn't say long range only. I look at it as a jam could occur anytime while firing. So this could occur at long range, or medium, or even short range. I don't consider the sequence the same gun fire, as you would probably be pulling the trigger several times to fire bursts as you close the range to the target. That's my interpretation. Thanks for the comments.

@@davesgamingcave7862 Thanks for the response Dave. You are undoubtedly correct that a gun jam can occur at all ranges. I will play it that way henceforth. Makes me wonder what other rules misinterpretations I've made. Time to re-read the old rulebook.

We all make interpretations of rules. That's why it is good to have these discussions. It gives you a chance to see how other people view the same rule.
