I was originally shadowbanned on the official Amico subreddit because I had suggested that they should have Tommy doing a demo of Farkle showing the controller working with the dice rolling from the controller onto the tv. I had said if they wanted to prove everyone wrong since they kept calling people like myself liars that an easy way to shut us down would be to show a working prototype of the most simple of the controller features. This resulted in an instant ban and every comment from myself and the people supporting what I said being deleted.

Tommy strongly suggested Amico owned the rights to Yars Revenge. I questioned that statement. I too joined the haters club. Fast forward and Yars Recharged was released for the PC and Atari console.

I watch Hbomberguy and that’s how I found out about it. But I used to watch Pats videos (non podcast) so when I found out Pat and Ian had been covering it, I went and watched the entire story. It’s crazy because the true legacy of the Amico will be as a meme and forever associated with Pat , ian, Hbomberguy, etc.

Remember when Tommy said that he wasn’t worried about the chip shortage because he had “secured” everything that was needed. Where are these components Tommy?

Remember, the previous CEO said last November that the Amico has entered formal production. Almost 10 months later, I have arrived at the logical conclusion: Mr. Bones is the manufacturer and the assembly line is Mr. Bones' Wild Ride. That is the most reasonable way to explain the start of production last November but seeing no Amicos having left the assembly line yet.

Fig sold it as a down payment for a console. That's how they got my $100. They hooked me on the nostalgia, as I had the Mattel Intellivision and loved it. Thankfully, I've spent on $100 on dumber stuff, so to find the bright side, it was worth it to watch all of this entertainment unfold. Fingers crossed for some jail time! lol Keep up the good work spreading the truth!

Blaze/Evercade will have released 3 consoles and hundreds of games by the time this thing finally dies.

These people gave their hard earned money to this company and this is how Tallarico and his ilk treats them. Millions of dollars and this company didn't at the bare minimum provide a regular update.

Thanks guys, your names will surely go down in gaming history as the ones who called it and got it right from day one, no made up BS, no drama for the sake of drama, no gifting, no shilling, no petty stuff, just hard cold facts one after another, some out there need the Amico to get views and attention, you actually got the attention of the gaming community to the Amico and its fraudulent fiasco. Like true proven gaming journalists

You would think that at least ONE "investor" would file a petition to a federal court from the large group of people being scammed out of over eleven million dollars (collectively). This ISN'T "chump change", it's a LOT of money that has been stolen with NOTHING coming their way. This was an Internet robbery of over 9,000 "investors". Someone, somewhere needs to get this in the federal court system and have monies refunded and jail time done for larceny and/or embezzlement.

Ah, shouldn't these investors have gotten upset a long time ago? A lot of them sound way too easy going even now!

I went and looked it up, found my name on the shadowban list. Probably happened back when I told everyone that gamestop wasn't advertising the amico out of the kindness of their heart, nor excitement for the project. Intellivision had to pay for those ad spaces.

Honestly I love this. It’s fitting for their audience and thought the footage used in the ad wasn’t insulting like most ads can be. It was definitely a bit silly with like the rainbow colors everywhere but they’re tryna communicate a point so it’s fine. I’m actually excited to make a purchase using their code. I love supporting podcasts in this way but often they’re tryna sell me meat, mens grooming products (grooming a crotch isn’t that complicated fellas, yeesh), or boner pills…where like…meat is what causes boner issues. Lol Anyway, looking forward to trying to some Delta 9 and 10! Thanks fellas!

Had a short talk with Hans Ippisch few weeks ago. He went toxic very soon after he painted all the critics as guys which threaten his life and there is no lag at all and I dared to challenge it referring to their own videos. Still he insisted it is on the way and can't fail. No reply to any questions about production or why the shop went down. Have been told he is complicated and I can confirm.

There's an entire genre of KZread that just covers scammers and Spencer Cornelia covered one that the Amico reminds me of. There was one 'business' that said they were making revolutionary software, which was supposed to be a 'better' version of zoom, an internet browser, email client, and things like that. But the whole idea is that you invest money, and they promised insane income from you selling their software. But there was never any software. I can't remember what the name of it was. They kept trying to host video conferences to keep people strung along, and it was always "Just around the corner" and every update email was the company asking investors to put in more money and encourage their friends to do the same. But for years, there was never any software at all. Haven't seen an update in about a year, so I'm not sure what the story is now.

There's an even better case study to look at that operated in the same market as the Amico - The ZX Spectrum Vega+ handheld. The early story is a little different as RCL - the company behind it - successfully released the Vega, a plug and play Spectrum console. RCL started funding for the Vega+, got it, but then the company was infiltrated by bad actors who managed to force out the previous directors and set about syphoning off the £500,000 that was raised. That's when the Amico parallels start. Constant lies, constant missed deadlines, constant nonsense excuses, over-promising and not delivering, initially granting some refunds before ignoring subsequent requests etc. In the end they cobbled together a few hundred (so they claimed, probably less) units by hand that were unfinished, riddled with faults, missing all the games that were supposed to be pre-loaded and shipped them out to a few random backers...just to say they tried to fulfil their end, but ran out of money etc. I think a few prototype/development Amico's will get sent out to their little band of idiot shills, just to say they tried, then they'll blame the "haters" for it all collapsing.

Hey. Just so you are aware, South Carolina made Delta 8, 9, and 10 a Schedule 1 offense. Be careful out there folks.

There were in store preorders for the Amico taken at GS stores; corporate told stores months ago to call customers & have them come in for refunds, but our 1 preorder has never come in for their refund.

Intro to the podcast said winners don't use drugs, but then they have sponsors like this. I think KZreadrs should use what they sponsor in a video so we all can see how good the product is. That would be entertaining.

I find it incredible how people will throw money at something like this and have no knowledge of what's actually happening. A quick Google search would have shown them all the reporting that has been going on around the Amico, even from small KZread channels and forums.

I continue to be grateful that I Never Invested in the Intellivision Amico. Was going to ... something felt off and I decided against it.

I don't feel too bad. Considering the graveyard of failed consoles in the video game industry, it should be no secret that getting a console off the ground is a long shot if you're not a mega company. That's like when Atari was crowd funding their new VCS, I didn't think it was a scam (despite delays, they were at least showing that work was being done) but at the same time, I thought people were nuts preordering it.

Y'all gonna do a followup on the Queen's Wii? We must know who has it!

It's a fine line between ineptitude and fraud.

I've always been curious about Delta 8. Ironically it's illegal in my state where cannabis is legalized lmao.

It has to do with the fact that the plant is technically 'hemp', but it's resin infused somehow on the buds... I'm not against D8, but it is kind of confusing (especially when I can smoke herb)

Not sure how cannabis is legalized when D8 can't. D8 seems to have less intense effects than regular THC, although technically it is just an isomer of THC and differs only in a chemical bond. Chemistry is wild.

If you're smoking cbd expecting to get high then that guy up there is right there is a lot to learn... I found d8 to be a good alternative to flower. I'm picky. I know certain strains will trigger anxiety and panic in me. Illegal here and no one here ever knows what they have. I'm just told ITS DAT GAS BRUH. D8, for me anyway, is the perfect in between. But I'm also mixing it with prescription medications and stuff sooo results may vary.

To what the announcement says the pilot run should be complete in a few weeks, so by the second week of October they should be able to speak on that achievement deadline. That will be interesting what they will say afterward. Plus manufacturing pilot lines were simple offline machinery to test ideas, nothing equal to production level quality or quantity was ever produced on a pilot line in my experience.

People can be so blinded by it that they fail to do basic research (in this investor's case, not realizing that this isn't the same Intellivision as the one they knew), all in an attempt to reclaim their sugar-coated past. Naturally, these people then get taken for a ride by nostalgia baiting scams like this one.

I feel bad for all the investors who actually did invested their money for this, I have to say "this piece of shit console Intellivision Amico!" that I was actually not that surprised it didn't go well.

I’m curious how this saga would have played out if they had released an ‘Intellivision Mini’? Since this could be relatively easy to produce, provide a stream of income as well as increase brand awareness.

Hardware was the mistake in the first place. This _was_ the mini. Then scope creep happened. More to the point, who wants yet another way to play games from before the NES? Plug-n-plays are a dime for a dozen. It should have been software publishing with an eventual bid into hardware, but Tallarico put the brake van ahead of the train and went full steam.

@@XanthinZarda 2019 was still a relatively popular time for Mini consoles (the MD/Gen Mini 1 was released) and a Mini console would be allot simpler to produce compared to the Amico. Possibly even something they license out as opposed to making themselves. I might have even bought one if it was decently made, since I have a soft spot for these things, as opposed to the Amico which I hesitant about even back when there was hope for it. That said, I do think that if Tommy seriously believed in ‘I want more family games so they can play together’ then being multi platform for existing systems would have been a better option, since chances are people already own them. Ironically had they released software by early 2020 these could have potentially been popular.

According to Tommy they were thinking about a Mini at some point (it was a separate AA topic aside from the Amico mega thread) but that was more on the backburner compared to Amico. Also they weren't going to let AtGames make it since Tommy finds them untrustworthy.

Would intellivision's actions be acceptable in the 80s-90s? I always thought of these guys as out of touch with modern gaming. But seeing how these execs are acting tells me their ambition to be a Wii like system wouldn't even compete with the SNES or N64 if this Amico was out then. My thoughts were they planned on releasing to retail and hoping people bought their console on impulse or name alone, kind of how gaming worked pre internet days where games could be gems or duds.

Whoever thumbed up me tell me which console I’m thinking of. All I can remember is it was before Ouya (if I remember correctly Ouya got compared to this until they actually showed games off). I believe the big moment was there was suppose to show off the console and it was just a plastic box (as in people there realized there was no electrical connectors to the box).

It's really sad that so many people who invested didn't ask those kind of questions. I know hindsight is 20/20, but seriously..... These people were wondering whether they would get royalty revenue on games sold on the console? In a perfect world, where the console and games were actually released, there STILL is no way that backers would get any money from game sales. Not any meaningful amount of money. Even if (hell froze over) Tommy and the big guns allowed such an unprofitable arrangement, with the sheer number of investors, any royalty per game would have to be measured in hundreds of a cent. I feel bad about all the scammed and defrauded people, but goddamn, it's hard to believe the level of trust people have in a name or a persona that they genuinely know little to nothing about.

What is sad is you still have guys like DJC trying to shill for them. I thnk they are gonna hand make like 50 of them and then say we tried and call it a day. This system is never ever gonna get a full release. What a train wreck.

After seeing how this whole fraud was played out, it became harder and harder to believe that the majority of backers\investors even realized what was going on and what they were investing in (even if the product had actually gone to market). I'm not talking about the shady shit behind the scenes. But based on those posts from investor\backers, I don't feel bad anymore for thinking the way I do. No one deserves to get scammed like this, but to invest 1,000 in a company because it shares the name of a (long defunct) popular product, those backers must have not known anything about Tallarico's purchase of the name, etc. It's just sad that hype will successfully part gullible people from tons of their money. The hype train in general is a dangerous gamble, but internet hype should ALWAYS be assumed to be groundless, unless there is real, convincing, tangible evidence to the contrary.

They have definitely run out of money if they’re letting the devs release the games on other platforms. So forget about revenue sharing, this is how the devs are getting paid.

I can’t believe Pat and Ian finally got that loud pack sponsor. So funny. I’ve been commenting “I be smoking on that munk pack” on every munk pack sponsored video for a while now purely because my OCD won’t let me stop at this point and now they are actually puffing on some green 😂

Hey guys, love the podcast, though I think the Delta THC stuff should maybe be handled with more skepticism. I'm not certain that they're bad, but I hear sketchy things about them.

Didn't the Republic Amico says that their return shares will be return by 2021 or 22 with the quote and quote *physical games* will be invested. I think not. Its RFID which is digital games which is not physical like they promised. The Republic says that you money will be getting in 2021 hah school you. You lose good day sir.

$100 would be a disaster for me. Although one could argue $100 for an addict where the pandemic didn't do any wonders isn't the worst thing that could have happened.
