    AMD copy-paste naming scheme of their competitor, so we shouldn't be comparing prices at all. Therefore, RX 7900 series compete against the RTX 4090 series, 7800 vs 4080, and so on.

    Small issue but during the cycles/second explanation you state Giga is "trillion". It's not. Tera is the prefix for trillion. Giga is indicative of BILLION. In the opposite is nano which is a billionth. Sorry, just had to point that out as it is rather glaring of a mistake.

If your workflow is GPU intensive the 5600 could be the best option for the DDR4 options simply because it will let you have a little bit more cash for a slightly better GPU

As a total package the 4060 can compete it with and has more features but if you need 12+ gb VRAM and CUDA you don't have any other sub 350 usd options. It and the 4070 Super are the two big bugdet stable diffusion options right now because of that. I'd aim like that, try to fit a 4070S in the build and if I can't drop to a 3060 12gb.

    Your channel seems to focus more on Intel architectures but it might have been instructive to note that while AMD doesn't have E-cores yet, it's because their versions of P-cores are more efficient and lower power than their Intel equivalents. For a given performance level the AMD chip draws less power, especially on the desktop.

    IMHO In 95% of the Cases all this Numbers is for the dayly use not important. But the Confusion that it brings ist enormously. And the way I see it with TVs, for example, it tends to hold me back from making a purchase decision. And then we haven't even talked about the same drama with GPUs, RAMs, SSDs, etc. etc. I took the trouble to configure a TOP system 10 years ago. It still works. But of course companies can't survive like that or invest enough money in development. AND.......to listen 40Min. for a Lesson in "Stupidity for advanced learners" i dont have the Time.

    Intel's namings honestly suck so much. AMD's are much much better. Also all of AMD's CPUs are Overclockable and Tunable. Also people make me cringe when they say they're waiting for " 15th Gen ", when it WON'T be even called that. It will be an entirely new naming ffs, split into two, Intel Core Ultra 5,7 and 9 200K CPUs and Intel Core 3,5 and 7 200 CPUs. No more i5, i7, i9 15000 CPUs. AMD's names are much much better and way way more understandable with Ryzen R5, R7, R9 and 7000, 9000, X, X3D etc. AMD are also ahead of Intel with Ryzen 9000 with more IPC increase and will still have Multithreading. While Intel with their upcoming Core Ultra 5, 7 and 9 200s will have less IPC increase and lower Clock speeds and NO Multithreading at all. Which means that they'll suck major donkey ballz on their new LGA 1851 socket. Meanwhile AMD will tear Intel a new one with Ryzen 9000X / X3D CPUs, for sure. 😉

  • @andrewvickers4487
    @andrewvickers4487Ай бұрын

    So I'm guessing these long-winded naming schemes are designed to milk us consumers? 😡 (And yes please for AMD part2, as a newbie I'm slightly confused how the architecture version is sometimes expressed.)

  • @musicbro8225

    @musicbro8225

    If you consider informing you what level of performance and utilities a CPU can offer is 'milking' then whatever - I'd just call it information to help you choose a suitable chip for your needs and your budget.

    @@musicbro8225 Right, and I suppose they couldn't make things any simpler either... The plethora of options - "choice" - is most likely a standard way of maximizing profits in this business. They add a premium onto the high-end models which trickles down the entire range, so the only added value here is ending up in their pockets, not ours. Unproven - yes, plain cynical - unlikely.

  • @musicbro8225

    @musicbro8225

    Ай бұрын

    @@andrewvickers4487 I don't know how they can make it simpler. They already made a new gen which wasn't one (13th to 14th), just to make things less cluttered for you (that is milking!). But they have a naming convention and they should stick to it imo. The milking happens in other places. Now if you were talking Nvidea and how they changed the relative performance per model (4060 that performs like a 4050 but costs 4070), that's milking!

    This channel is heavily biased toward Intel ,as is Microsoft as is Adobe ect...and btw I own a i7 14700k ...but I never hear in this channel the word "heat comparaison" , "tdp comparaison"...two very important factors when you need a workstation PC that most certainly will have to run 24/7 in alot of use cases ...Intel is forcing this competition imo by buying KZreadrs /influencers, trying to make every artist a pro overclocker "hey l..ook you can still undervolt your ceeepeeyou..in Kevin Hart voice" if I didn't own a ryzen 9 7900x I wouldn't have noticed the oven I just bought of course...the goal is to make consumers/artists hear less and less about amd... Microsoft is giving access to Intel to the core of windows just to save what they can save with the Intel xtu ...and showing that windows can override the bios settings directly Wich is quite scary but they gave this access to Intel imagine if amd had the same privileges , the same "help me out of this s*** bro" that Intel has with windows? Correct me if I'm wrong ,but i highly doubt i'am
