The cutout and presented result was definitely on-point, but understanding the mechanics of the simple circuit does require some prior basic knowledge about EE, such as charging/discharging Inductors (AC current when discharging right?), diodes/resistors, and dangers of shorting the circuit.
@Crallux
2 жыл бұрын
@@knightblad5631 I also thought that was the weakest part of the video. It explains it on a very basic level, so basic that it doesn't really explain anything. Such an insanely complex piece of technology when you really think about it, its incredible. 300,000 time PER SECOND. Just wrap your head around how fast these things happen on such a tiny scale. Fascinating, this is one of the areas that my love of Computers in general is built on, just the sheer amount of Engineering these things have. All happening without the user having any idea just how much is really happening, and then you get into how memory works which is even more mind blowing. It's all just so cool to me.

No, it used to be about Linus unboxing a motherboard on a bench in the park. And you couldn't hear him telling you about all its features because of the wind. THAT's what it used to be about.
Top drawer stuff lads. Linus should go on vacation more often.
Yes, please do more of these videos
0:54 "If you apply 12 volts to a CPU, it'll look something like this" Machine: *he has been summoned*
If this is the kind of quality content we get when Linus is on vacation please send him to travel the world.

This might be the greatest Linus Tech Tips video I've ever watched and yes, I'm counting all the rest of your channels guys! Holy damn! MORE!
More content like this helps us not only buy the right equipment but for those of us with tight budgets helps us to spend better and understand why we are doing it. Basically more please
