    Hello Gregor, After watching a few other "Introduction" videos introducing the New Quantum Audio Interfaces. You and Joe Gilder need to be the "Official Spokespersons" for marketing new devices and new software. I was on the fence until I saw your marketing techniques and salesmanship for this new product line. I was sold once your video was completed. Great Job. P.S. For Presonus Audio Electronics. You guys must not be paying Joe and Gregor enough. Despite all of the other marketing strategies you may have in place. These two guys "Literally" sold your product the way that it was intended to be introduced and advertised to the masses. They need a pay increase. The way the new features and integration were explained for Quantum and Presonus Studio One from their videos was the "GAME ON" event purchase deal closer💯. Thanks for keeping these guys on staff.

    I have a Studio 192 and a digi max dp88. Setup has served me well over the years… but been thinking about upgrading (this looks like a time) Biggest question: what I love about the 192, is that I can add eq, compression, delay, and reverb: all from dsp and universal control. I have a decent PC, but when I get to a final stage of a track I might have tons of plugins and 100+ tracks. I sometimes need to max out buffer size.. even with this: I can have a vocalist come in a touch up a vocal and still have no lantency… because it never touches the PC. They still get a good eq, compression, reverb.. experience. Will this change with these new interfaces? Will the eq, compression, reverb for monitoring all come from the pc?

    Hi - thanks for the first look at the new interfaces. I currently have a studio 68 which is 24 bit. The new es2 and es4 are both 24bit however the hd2 is 32bit. What does that mean in general, and more specifically, does it have any impact on speeding up the "export mixdown" process? (please note: I'm not after strategies/tricks for speeding up like transforming tracks to audio, just trying to understand if the hardware will make any different). Thanks again for the video, cheers, Tony.

    I still don't understand why this is a Quantum and not a Studio series interface. The whole idea of Quantum was practically inaudible latency through the DAW with plugins. I have yet to see the real numbers of these ultra low latency USB drivers. Now the TB Quantum is a legacy item and current TB Quantum users no longer have expansion capability. Is the Studio series of interfaces also going away?

    A couple quick questions on Dolby Atmos- 1. can you utilize the 2nd Heaphone output as Channels 11 and 12 for a 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos mix with the Quantum HD8, or are you required to use a 2nd interface for that? 2. Does this interface support Sonarworks SoundID Reference for Multichannel with Measurement Microphone for room calibration/Speaker EQ 3. What would be the Maximum sample rate and anticipated latency figures with 7.1.4 setup

  • @marcushuyskensmusic

    @marcushuyskensmusic

    21 күн бұрын

    I’ll do my best to answer: 1) no - the headphone output is designed to be used for headphones that have varying impedance levels but it isn’t a line level output. You would need to do what I’m doing - running 2 interfaces. And using one in standalone mode or you could create an aggregate device in macOS. But you would necessarily need two HD 8’a… you could pair an HD 8 with a smaller version.. 2)technically speaking any interface supports sonarworks - soundID reference multichannel. That being said, this unit doesn’t support the ability to import the calibration file into the interface and run it via DSP without a computer like some others do. 3) all my ATMOS mixes have been in 48khz. But I’m 99.9% sure that 96khz is also supported in studio one, though. In terms of playback buffer - ATMOS is limited to 512. The latency is hard to answer because the time delays can easily add to the latency. For example - all speakers will be time aligned to the speaker that is the furthest away.. so that also has an impact on overall latency. Hood this helps! Cheers, M

    Why wouldn't you all upgrade the Quantum 2626? I really like the feel I can get out of amp sims and midi stuff but that's a different story. My main thing is amp sims not so much for finished products BUT for recording song ideas. It's a lot lower in volume compared to my tube amp... That latency difference is a lot and I can hear it it sounds like delay if you can hear your strings and the speaker... Also the feel goes off when the latency slows... MMM I wish we could get Thunderbolt into this model man it would be perfect! :(

    Please answer this my friend, I am currently using the IK Axe I/O for it’s incredible Hi-Z inputs with active/passive pickup adaptation, and variable impedance with jfet and pure settings as well. In addition, the Neural DSP quad quartex gives precision control over the instrument input as well through its interface. So far, I am considering the Quantum HD to replace my TB3 quantum 2626. I cannot find any information as to a juxtaposition of specifications between my Quantum 2626 and this new HD. Nor do I believe that it’s Presonus level of standards to have failed to make the Hi-Z inputs as flexible as products like the Axe I/O. I like that you “worked with Fender” on them. But this means little to me from a technical standpoint. What are the capabilities to vary the inputs to adjust to my different guitar tones and pickups, and if they do not currently exist have you planned for a software update that will enable that feature? Please juxtapose the Axe I/O with this HD 2 for guitar players, pros & cons. Thank you!

For example i have 1 keyboard that i use with MIDI with Sound modules on my rack like my Roland integra 7 as an example and record the output of my multi input mixer to my Roland SP404MKII sample but i get a lot of hiss and clipping from my ART MX822 and just want something cleaner sounding even if it means me spending more.

    They all work as a super basic mixer. When you're not plugged into a computer or mobile device, all the inputs get routed to the main outputs (1 / 2) and you control the volume with the knob. Use the gain level to adjust channel volume.

Only the Quantum HD 8 (not the HD 2) can be put into a standalone ADAT Pre mode. So, one HD 2 or HD 8 plugged into the computer, and up to 2 HD 8s through ADAT for more inputs (or outputs).
