These are great tips, but whoever is editing these videos is going an EXCELLENT job at illustrating the content. Well done 👏🏻

This is probably the only skill I am much better at then most people at my rank. The best way to improve this is free play and trying to keep booming the ball into the walls on the upbounce. For reading shots on net , you hit it to the corner on kick off , drive on your own half towards one of the posts and then press the button to make the ball fly at the net and try and save it, then hit it over to the other half and repeat. Really fun and great to calm down after a tilting game.

I actually do this myself 😂😂 I always hop into free play and just boom the ball around the walls and try to read my different shots until I hit at least 5 of them directly into goal before I hop on ranked otherwise I go for some training packs then back into free play to thoroughly warm up then into ranked and play

Spook is probably the best coach I just got back into rocket league 3 weeks ago and was stuck at champ 1 div 1 and ever since I watched his vids of things I should be good at I put them in games and started winning more

One thing that helped me while practicing is thinking not about going to the ball, but converging with the ball. Idk my brain just worked better when I looked at it that way. Hope this helps someone

That 3rd hint is gonna change the game for me.. I always anticipate the ball and wind up being in the wrong position. I'm a P1 so I'm still learning, but I feel I should be higher ranked. This shall help with that.

Actually I always found straight backwards reads when under the ball super easy. It's the bounces that are hard, I don't practice them enough

to me the fast direct pass to the backwall is easy to intercept. its the slow weird backboard passes that do my heading, in that situation Lukes tips to look from the sides is perfect. or just get it from an angle.

The best mechanic anyone can master is super difficult for gc but insanely easy for silver and under WHIFF DASH attempt to hit the ball but your car goes wheeeeeee

On the second case you can also try to jump and defend other players car and let your team mate clear the ball.

Dropshot improve my read alot, even diamond in dropshot mostly know how to read the ball. Try it guys!

Unless its 3v3 you have to prejump the bounce if your first person to go for pressure and give team space.

Everything on point except the pre jump, a lot of times it’s way better to anticipate and pre jump than to try to rush there fast. That’s why pro players when they get whooped say “that team was playing several seconds ahead of us”

i have above 4 k hours and peak gc2, those tipps are useable below C3, if u play that slow like in these videos, you opponent will instantly dopple tap the ball or block your read

I think an important takeaway from this video is just dont act if you don't know. You see SSLs and pros cutting angles short or jumping before bounces because A) they know the read and B) the other players also know the read, meaning you have to cut the angle short in order to maximize your chances of beating the opponent.

The only way to improve reads it playing the game. Just like everything with projectory irl. The way your bike turns, how early you can turn corners in a car etc is just by repetition

This is nice to move up slightly... but if you are going against anything that has this plus what your are using this for... you will be at a disadvantage. I say practice practice practice the hard stuff and don't play ranked until comfortable. This is a bandaid.
