So bittersweet to see (FINALLY) our first choice midfield with Thomas Partey just after we narrowly exit the CL. If we got through and he was ready for the run in of Semis and Final of CL and EPL run in.. or if he was fully fit just a few weeks sooner... ahh what could have been.

What's done is done and what's gone is gone my friend. This team................breathtaking. The next five years are gonna be a total thrill that will make up for Years of underperforming. You have to lose to learn how to win. Even if city don't drop points(I personally believe they will.....) And the gunners don't win this year, I'm delighted with the performances and I see this Arsenal team as future champions of Everything.

@@bendagostino2217 Highly possible the doctors concluded he shouldn't play him.. also highly likely imo that he would be considered too rusty and lacking in match sharpness to suddenly start a CL quarter final after missing 6-7 months of playing..He looked rusty and misplayed quite a few passes the first sub appearance he got recently. I would've started Jorginho for that very reason as well while continuing to give Partey as many minutes as possible off the bench both in CL and EPL, so I'd disagree with you on that.

On Kai Havertz, look ..... Arteta showed what a decent and honourable Man he is by subbing him off before he scored another two against his old club, sparing Poch and the Chelsea fans and team further embarrassment. Thus proving Supermik is human after all.

Jesus came on with Martinelli and they couldn't continue the good work Martinelli used to be our most clinical finisher on 1v1 with goalie But rn, he looks quite rusty I think Like bro, what happened to that Henry #14 Finish months ago? Thank you M.Arteta 😊 #COYG

@@tobby_fabulous Martinelli missed the breakaway, but to be fair I think he is showing positive signs. Particularly, I liked his effort when he came on at Wolves. He looked threatening and goal hungry. It's just a matter of time before he starts banging them in again...

@@tobby_fabulous and also @DavidSmith I think strongly that both Martinelli and Saka have played way too many games way too young for the past four years. I think Martinelli is either fatigued or suffering an injury hangover and I'm pretty sure that Saka is suffering both. Thankfully the gunners have Trossard but My only minor gripe with SuperMik is that he hasn't given Reiss Nelson or Fabio Viera more minutes replacing Saka to give the lad a breather and to develop them a bit more this season. ESR definitely deserved more game time too. We have Trossard as an able and capable replacement for Martinelli and hopefully next year one of the others can step up in Sakas position also. All things considered I reckon the progress this team has made is Stellar and if they don't win the Prem this Year then for certain the next five years will see Arsenal winning at least two,maybe Three Premier league's and at least one, Maybe two European Cups. I'm hoping there are a smattering of doubles in there too . Is anyone else hoping Arteta does a "Hold My Beer" and goes full tilt at that elusive quad that Guardiola and Klopp didn't achieve?? COYG

I sure did. Those two make me tear up just watching how effectively they work for the team when out of possession (the unsexy parts) of the game.

Perspective: Raya did not have a preseason with Arsenal. He did not start playing for Arsenal until game five. He is amazing and deserves the golden glove!

Everyone has been saying some thing along the lines of "Arsenal still have to go to Spurs and United". Yes we do, and they will be tough games for us, at the same time, do you think Spurs are looking forward to playing Arsenal while being 6 points behind a very goo Aston Villa? Would United be looking forward to playing Arsenal with all their defensive issues? People act like Arsenal should be scared of these teams, my friends...it's the other way around.

The point is he is never available. I thought sell last start window and buy but definitely not at end with no time. But more missed games than even I thought. We have too many injury prone players . If you're getting 25 starts in PL at good level ok but 10? Or so.

This is why I am so angry at Arteta with the looses to bayern and aston villa. Thomas Partey is basically a cheat code. To not give him any minutes along with Rice was beyond stupid. Now that we have seen that combination tonight we need to not see Jorginho for the remainder of the season. Partey absolutely proved that we would be mad to sell him.

Bro come on The min he was getting you could see a rusty partey. The loss to Bayern was more the team letting themselves down, although arteta has some blame arsenal were still close to beating Bayern.

We had to ease Partey back into games, he was very rusty against Bayern. Even though we missed his potential, easing him back into the XI seemed the best way to get him back to full match levels.

@IthielHeberRodriguez I don't buy that for a second. If we played partey 60mins in any of those games, we win. Partey has been fit since December. He played 65mins against luton 3 weeks ago. Arteta blew it. That's is what happened because he wanted his boy jorginho to play. Partey is 10 times the player jorginho ever was at the heights of his career. We should have given him and rice even 30mins against bayern and Aston villa. It's clear to see.

@everlastingbeats no we didn't, he has been training since December. A rusty partey is better than a fit jorginho. And to not bring him on at all is unforgivable. I hope to God city drops some points but I fear the blunder by arteta was waaay too costly.
