Installing whole house humidifier, replacing my old Honeywell with Aprilaire
My Humidifier was leaking and not really working properly anyway as the humidity in my house had dropped a lot this year, so I decided to replace it myself. It actually wasn't that hard. just follow some instructions and away you go.

Why did you install on return air duct ? Suppose to be top off the furnace duct hot air duct

Thank you for your educational video. I am planning to replace my old humidifier with an APRILAIRE 600. I have a humidistat near the heat pump thermostat in the main floor of my 2 floors house. I have seen the humidistat installed on the return duck in some videos. What is best? What is the difference between model APRILAIRE humidifier model 600M (manual) and model 600 automatic. Which model do you suggest? I thank you for your prompt response as I have to decide which way to go soon.
If you use clear drain hose it’s easier to adjust water supply so you don’t dump tons of water every day. My is just dripping.

Hi Platoon, where these 2 wires (green and orange) connect to? Can you show the pictures about there they connect to?
What if you don't have one installed? How would you know which ducts to use?

Water is not running all the time. Only when the furnace kicks on because the valve receives a signal via the wiring and the water flow starts
