Is this program free? , I just have to buy the VCDS scan tool?

VCDS only work with our Ross-Tech interfaces.

I have had the HEX+CAN interface since around 2013 and I recently had to recover the laptop running win7 that I use for VCDS. Problem now is when installing the latest version of VCDS (23.11.0) when the "Device Driver Installation Wizard" comes up and click yes and always trust it just says "the drivers are now installing" and after 20 mins it is still there! This has NEVER happened before and I have now tried 5 times of reinstalling to no avail. Question -- where does the wizard place the drivers and can I not just take them from the VCDS folder and copy them into whatever folder the "wizard" is placing them?

when I do tje first test it's ok and car disconected but when I connect the car (interface not found)..... what happen ?

You can do that without the software...

I'm trying to download this on my laptop, it doesn't show the user agreement page, just tells me to read the user agreement, then terminates the installation. No usb equipment plugged in at all

@@herenow2895 I got mine sorted in the end, I had to re install windows to get over the glitch! Working perfectly now

When i press test after having plugged into the car it says Port status : ok USB library version : 03.02.07 USB driver version : 02.10.00 Interface : not found Why does that happen?

@@zZbrenoZz There is no Bluetooth support. Com ports are for computers that have actual serial ports, a technology that was phased out years ago. But we have some customers using +15 year old computers with serial ports thus the reason the software still supports it.

You cannot You can only install with wine but USB will not work

If you have newer VW DO NOT waste your time . Take it to an honest dealer. Unless you behave a. Lot of time…
