    I bought Hex Net kit from you guys a couple of years ago and had the firmware problem today, VCDS froze while trying to update the firmware and your solution worked perfectly. Thank you 👍

    Question. Hex V2 car limit is coded in the software on PC or in the interface firmware itself ?! 3VIN vs 10VIN vs Unlimited VIN.

    Hi, I recently bought a new diagnostic vcds hex v2 and when I plug the cable into the car and laptop I put the ignition on, test the usb ports and save it all. I leave and I get the error: "no response from controller". What could be wrong?

    Hi Forest. Yes, with a HEX-V2 or HEX-NET you have to register the interface (for free) within the first 14 uses, or it will lock out until registration is completed. The previous generation interfaces (HEX+CAN, Micro-CAN etc.) didn't enforce registration, but you had to be registered to get any technical support.

    Not working for me. I did the update and it said after the update that you are up to date. Then i went yo change tap to USB and pressed Test button.... interface not found. Should my HEX-V2 be inserted to my car at this point?

    No, you don't need to connect to a car. What colour are the LEDs? If you're only plugged into the PC and they are green, unplug it for a while then plug in again. Then close and re-open VCIConfig. If working correctly, when plugged into the PC the LEDs will flash blue. If the firmware is corrupted (which this procedure should be able to fix) they will be red.

    Hi mate, I've got a question! So I bought a VCDS but is a VAG KKL cable and I have an Audi A6 C7 2015 and I can't make it work, do you reckon I've bought a wrong 1? Thanks

    Hi, a 2015 Audi is too new for a KKL/VCDS-Lite. You will need a HEX-V2 interface.

    Hello, I have Vcds hex + can Vag Com Genuine Ross tech Interface unlimited vins it is not detected in device manager on pc .led lights up green when plugged into vehicle. Can you please help me with this problem. Thanks

    @@florind4906 - if you think it is a cable supplied by Gendan please email us the serial number. Otherwise you would have to speak to the original supplier.

    Hi while doing this update the transfer gets to 29% then restarts the transfer over and over, never goes above 29%. Any help would be great 👍

    Try disabling any anti-virus/malware software that is running.

    When I open my VCDS Interface Config I see the message “An interface must be connected by USB to use this program. If an interface is connected, try replugging it.” And that while the USB ledlight is on (when connected to car green, when not connected to car red)

    I was installed 17 version of vcds And it's updates on 19.6.2 And now it's crash sometimes in a car usb connection And showing interface not found When I restart pc it's works again till it's crashs Maybe I can try firmware update

    That's possibly is clone Cos when I'm trying to update interface Selection there is select interface not showing up nothing Even refresh interface list is not working

    @@fatahjamal3797 If the interface is a copy it will not be a HEX-V2, no matter what the label says. If you run an interface test in VCDS you'll find it's a HEX-USB. We can't offer support on illegal clones.

    Hi. If the car doesn't support CAN diagnostics, the interface test will show 'CAN: Not Ready'. When you connect to a CAN protocol car, the CAN test will report OK.

    I'm at my wits end with this device, click on autoscan just get an eternal wheel, click on module, just get the loading wheel, lights flashing green on device, ended up paying dealer for diagnostics, don't waste your money on this.

    Need more info. Did you follow the update first? Did you do the test and save of your cable? Year and model vw?

    How to fix VCDS Hex + Can when it failed after update ? All work but show can not ready and wont comunicate to the car. All was fine with every update till last one in 2019.

    Is it a genuine Ross-Tech HEX-USB+CAN, with a unique HCxxxxxx serial number on the label, or a clone?

    @@GendanAuto ofcourse it is original ross tech. I've explained it has updates before with no issues. There was last update for them old cables that many people reported problem with. It simply need uninstalling this update but how ? Reinstalling software not helping coz it is firmware update in the cable that need to be turned down from 19 to 18 at least.

    @@GendanAuto they aint interested to help. They like everyone to buy V2 and I have feeling that last update for hex+can was to damage cables on purpose.

    My VCDS when plugged in computer flash BLUE, but after 3 flash, my windows make a sound like a usb disconnect sound.... In my car, it keeps flashing red.... Is it any cable problem?

    Only genuine HEX-V2 / HEX-NET interfaces update the firmware this way. All the "HEX-V2" clones are old HEX+CAN interfaces in a different casing.

    @@promix_studio1001 12.12 is a 2012 release of the software. The only reason to still be using it 8 years later would be if you have a clone. We can't help with clones. If you have a genuine interface it will always work with the latest release from the Ross-Tech website - currently 20.4.1

    This will only work with a genuine Ross-Tech HEX-V2 or HEX-NET. if you brick a clone we can't help.
