just got my grill today, your directions by far make installation much easier. this method is best for me.

I did the same wire soldering (T-type connection) - I found this method the best comparing to other videos. However for the insulation I used a liquid tape. Thanks for the hands-on ideas!

The screws I got in my pack I couldn’t use to hold the bracket to the truck. Thankfully i could use the factory ones still

Really nice job and videoing. I got a hold of my brother in laws 2005 f-150 4x4 stock. He past away and my sister sold the truck to me. I want to make it my own so I will be doing the grill, head lights, tail lights, and break lights and also a leveling kit and more aggressive tires. So thanks for showing me your truck I will be going that way myself.

Great video. I recently put in the same headlight upgrade that you did. I plan on doing the raptor grill next. I had a hard time removing the spider headlights in the middle of the install.....I actually broke the bottom clip while trying to take it off. Do you have any tips on how to remove the spider headlights? The ford stock lights seemed to pull right off. Thank you for the great video, definitely gives me the confidence that I can do it myself.

What gauge wire will we need?

Will this fit 2005 ford expedition

I got 5.4 v8 tritan but it’s not 4wD

How is the raptor style grill holding up? Is it fading in color at all? Any other issues over the long term?

I haven't had any problems, I leave the truck parked outside year around and I haven't noticed any real signs of fading or decolorization. The lights still work fine too.

Just one dumb question: Did you solder the red wire into the other wire of the amber light or did you solder them both into that one wire?

1 wire on 12 volt power the other wire on ground. Two different wires

Do you think those small plastic splicers would work better if you strip the wire first or no

That would probably help but if you already strip back the insulation of the wire you might as well not even use those. I would recommend posi taps. They are the best if you want to tap some wire together without stripping the wire and what not.

Essentially these are all the same unbranded grill sold by different sellers. Sometimes the seller will run out of stock and are not able to replace them.That's why the listing will disappear and the link won't work. They are all the same product Here's a couple of links the do work. amzn.to/3uKh8O0 or amzn.to/3sJL9eZ one is prime the other is not prime, its a little cheaper, but it will take longer to get to you.
