    Good example, except for one error; don't allow the fill bottom to empty. If all of the brake fluid empties out of the reservoir, air can get into the system and cause serious issues. Otherwise great video.

  • @jpulley

    @@BayouSax I see what your getting at but the reservoir never went empty. If it did I definitely would have introduced air into the system. The fill bottle was simply topping off the reservoir as it gets low, but it never went empty. Thanks for the tip anyway.

    To be honest I couldn't really say if it reduces bugs on the windshield. This truck was never a daily driver for me so I don't have a good gauge on how many bugs is the normal amount. I probably put this one 3-6 months after I got the truck. I do get bugs on the windshield, but I don't really have a frame of reference to compare it to. I just put it on for looks and I think it looks great. It's been a number of years now and it holding up well parked outside year around.

    PO128 could be the coolant temperature sensor switch to the radiator fan. Turn on air conditioning and see if the fan turns on. If so, turn off air and let engine heat up past 200. If radiator fan doesn't come on it's the temperature sensor switch. If the engine never heats up much, the thermostat is stuck open. If it heats up and keeps going up, even after the engine fan comes on, the thermostat is stuck closed. All to be done with the air conditioning off.

    1LC1 is usually because the softener dispenser is clogged and overflowing due to the stupid little disc in the line that gets plugged with softener. The water overflows and hits the leak sensor at the bottom of the unit. Quickest fix I've seen is steaming it through the dispenser. I'd open the line and remove the disc or it will happen again. All the disc is used for is to more evenly distribute the softener. Unnecessary! Or better yet, don't use softener at all. It's not good for the machine even though it's supposedly designed to use it. It's also not good for your fabrics or your skin. It is wax based chemicals and coats and gums up everything causing machine sensors to eventually malfunction and towels to be less absorbent, etc. Use a 1/4 to 1/2 cup of 5% normal household distilled white vinegar instead. You'll be amazed at the results and save all kinds of money on the softener itself, as vinegar is way cheaper. Also will save money in the long run on machine maintenance and new fabrics. This goes for Dryer sheets too. Although they are not as intrusive as the liquid softener. Great video!

    Wait so does that mean my actuall remote start is broken??? Or is it just doing that because it’s another way of telling me that the engine light is on due to something that needs to be fixed?

  • @jpulley
    @jpulley3 ай бұрын

    The car is designed to not remote start if the check engine light is on for any reason. There are tons that things that could be wrong with your car to make the check engine light come on, but once its on the car wont remote start. This is not a malfunction it is trying to stop damage from occurring. Depending on what wrong with car you could start it and still be in the house while the car destroys itself outside. If you were inside the car you could turn it off if you heard some bad noises coming from the car.

    Informative video 👍🏼I had big bubbles but it was not a solid stream in the hose more like dribbling of oil, would this be from air escaping on the bleed fitting or air compressor not strong enough ? Thank you for any insight.

  • @jpulley
    @jpulley3 ай бұрын

    It might be air coming in around the bleed fitting if you have unscrewed too far. I would tighten down on it some and try again. It really should take that long to stop showing air bubbles unless you drain out a lot of brake fluid from the system. However these little brake bleeders do require quite a bit of air. I would suggest 20 gallon+ air compressor.

    So, if you do this method to reset the password to get in your tablet device, you won't lose all the data, the photos, or the videos that were in it? I haven't tried this yet, so I'm not sure what would happen to the files and everything if it would all still be there

  • @jpulley
    @jpulley3 ай бұрын

    This is a factory reset you will lose everything. However you will have a working device again. What I always tell people is you already lost your data if you can't access it you don't have it. If you factory reset it you will at least have the device back.
