Hey thats a dope setup! And i enjoyed the video content. I own a 95' Impala, color back and its all factory stock looking. I put some inexpensive Kenwood 6.5s in the doors. They were just small enough to fit without cuttin or modifying door frame or plastics. I got the Metra brand speaker adapter and it mounted up👌

Yeah that liquid electrical tape will keep it from grounding out on the bare metal. Run them suckers to an amp though man your head units puttin out like 25% of the power they should be seeing TOPS

Most aftermarket decks only put about 22W RMS so these will definitely benefit from a good 2/4 channel amp.

The one he's using puts out 7 watt RMS per Channel and 1.5 volt to each pre out when running a component amp off the pre out quality amps require 4v per line in minimum to meet rms specs with that head unit you need a 7 volt line driver regardless or you'll never get enough signal for the amp especially running a 4ch with only 2 1.5v signal lines in a 400watt rms 4ch will only drive each channel with 100watts rms if it has 4 solid 4volt lines in minimum if your only send it 2 1.5 volt lines you'll be lucky to get 40watt rms to each channel and its gonna be horrible for the amp trying to over work itself

yeahh between 18 and 22 watt rms ,,, these speakers need 200 watt RMS ,, LOL !! so i think he needs a big amplifier ( 200watt RMS X 2 ch)

i didn’t watch the whole video i just wanted to know what they sounded like but did you have tweeters hooked up or no?

I hate midrange speakers,i have the hardest time with them.my doors on my car are really thin so no matter what i put in it hits my window

Yes they are 6x9 adapters

I don't know if this has be presented to you yet, but if you want to keep a crack in any hard material from spreading, you simply just drill a hole directly in the end of the crack in the direction(s) you don't want it spreading.

How's the bass?

How is the bass? I understand they aren't gonna hit like a sub but I need a loud 6.5 in my side by side. With it being open and it being modded it drown out my sound bar. my sound bar isn't cheap either so I need something that is loud with a little bit of bass. I really don't have room/want for a sub. just something that doesn't drown out but has a little thump. thanks

Good loud. Crisp no distortion and that's just the speakers alone no amp hooked up. If u have a 4 channel running to them I'd imagine they would be even better

Not tryin to hate but youll learn someday that that sounded horrible loud doesn't mean good when u turned them up some frequencys were great but others killed it so you need to learn how to work off that a decent 7band eq will help u control that leaving the good sounding frequencies and removing the bad sounding frequencies and send them the proper component with an active crossover unit then you have a tweeter pushing those sound frequencies the 6.5 can't handle while still sending the mid-range frequencies to the 6.5 mids then you leave the low frequencies on Subs 6.5 pods for the doors your loosing all the sound quality in the giant uninsulated doors that are not air tight by any means also u need crossovers with separate 2in tweaters to go with each door so you can tune the 6.5s for mid range like they're made for and that massive trunk has a big air volume so 6×9s would be a better fit possibly 4 of them across with 2 2in horn tweeters in between 2 on each side and active crossovers 600 watt rms 4ch Fosgate to drive the by9s and a 2ch Fosgate 300watt for the fronts then u can smack 1 18in or 2 15 inch t3s with a power series mono 1500bd Fosgate at 2ohm then you'll be decently loud

Put a subwoofer in there

The bass on these is ok, these are mid range speakers they aren't really made for bass. That's what subwoofers are for.
