    Enjoyed the video. I’m all about overkill but I regret using the spray adhesive. I attempted to spray the edges and I guess it came out clumpy. A few questions: 1) should I sand it off completely or just smooth it out. 2) once smooth, should I apply another coat of the primer/paint or should I apply a coat of the Polycrylic, or ??. 3) Assume everything else with the install is the same from that point, starting with the spray adhesive...

    Is the squeegee I need one that has felt on one end? Also, is ther another lining step needed if the wrap already has a hole printed on the vinyl where it should be cut? (To ensure it lines up) Thank you for the wonderful and informative video!! :)

  • @Gameondad6

    @Gameondad6

    I like to use a felt lined squeegee if possible. It allows you to use a bit more pressure and lowers the risk of damage. I have personally scuffed a wrap or two over the years because of a squeegee not being lined. Yes! If you have a wrap with a hole printed, it does take some extra finesse. Do your best to line up the hole first and then make sure the wrap is square with the board as much as possible.

    I'm not sure I entirely understand what you're asking with the "sealant". We recommend letting freshly printed wraps rest/air dry for 24 hours before applying them. The water based acrylic we use is dry in literal minutes. I suppose of you used an oil based sealant, it could take quite a bit longer.

    It seems there are 2 camps out there. Those that say 1 to 2 coats are enough. The other says 5 to 10 coats. I my self don’t want my boards too slick. Im ready to apply wraps in a day or two. The back side of the wrap says ORAJET Rapid air. It is laminated. I’m not even sure if using a heat gun is required to apply these. I’d rather go two coats, sand then be finished. I’m using semi gloss Spar Urethane. Because it is semi gloss, I hope it doesn’t dull the look of the wrap. It’s made the paint on the sides of the board and the underside look glossy so I guess I can use it with no concerns.

    I didn’t have the best luck with wrapping the boards all the way around. My best advice if you prefer to wrap the entire face is to use contact cement on the back side to help the vinyl adhere and stick. As far as the rounded corners, you would likely have to use a heat gun and pull/stretch the vinyl over the corners the best you could. I had custom edge trimmers made to help me keep the wrap cleanly cut around the surface of the boards. Also, as long as you prep the surface properly, you should not have the edges pealing. Slighty unrelated, but I was hoping that you crafty ladies/gents might be able to help me or at least point me in the right direction. We are going to be using corn hole boards as our guest book at the wedding this Summer. I wanted something different, and at least this time, whenever we play we will remember the day. ANYWAY, the board is covered with a customized vinyl wrap with our last name on it. What would be the best to have guests sign with and still be able to seal after (and what would be the best seal that isn't going to degrade when sealer is applied) I thought black and or metalic sharpies, but wasn't sure how they would hold up under a seal coat. Then I thought OOOO A Paint pen, but then do i do water/oil based? I'm so confused

    I had a similar issue two weeks ago. I had a can of poly acrylic from over the winter time I used. The humidity made it very tough. You can try to do a light sanding with a relatively high grit and then try putting a thin layer of acrylic down again. Try to pick a day it’s not raining or you have a lot of ground water if you’re in a non climate controlled garage\shop. Also, make sure you’re stirring up that can of acrylic! It has a tendency to settle to the bottom on some brands.

    Went on your website and I see many flag wraps that are not displayed / made correctly. When displaying the American flag vertically, the star field should be upper left. Some are correct but the ones that are not should be corrected to show respect. You have a lot of good products, please respect the American flag that's all I am asking...

  • @Gameondad6

    @Gameondad6

    2 жыл бұрын

    We offer them by customer preference! You are 100% correct on the orientation of the union. We have some customers that prefer it on the upper right side. You can request either/or during ordering. When we started this, I actually reached out for advice on this from the local PD. If the image isn't a true and standard American flag, the orientation isn't required to be on the upper left.
