Hey, just installed one of their oil sammich plates. Other then being miserable to install in the car on an IS300...this sammich plate didn't leak. Thank you. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you so much for making a product that doesn't leak....Even the 1/8 npt's which have bungs in them right out of the box didn't leak (you can't take this for granted I found out). After installing a used Sammich plate, off brand sammich plate, and then this sammich plate...10 out of 10

Is there an oil drain on your cooler? That would hold a noticeable amount of oil that wouldn't get changed during regular servicing.

My mechanic recommended to simply change the oil slightly more frequently, instead of 4000 miles switched to 3000. Had the oil tested and didn’t notice anything particularly abnormal, full synthetic should last 6000 so if a portion of the oil goes that far it’s not the end of the world. But yeah sometimes they have drain and other times they don’t, mine didn’t and removing the cooler was more of a risk of causing a leak than he thought was worth.

I have added a dry break connection on both inlet and outlet, so I can remove the cooler during the winter, but it also allows me to drain it easily. I have the two dry breaks opposite to each other, so when I remove the oil cooler, I plug them into eachother, so I don't need to remove the sandwich adapter.

@@MrLister30 yeah. That is really slick. Does it need to be filled separately Berger startup. Or can you use clear flood mode to fill it. On Subaru’s you put the throttle all the way down and crank, it doesn’t fire the ignition or the injectors so it just turns over. I do this every oil change until the oil light turns off.

@@kcspeed9980 I fill mine on the bench before installing, again the dry breaks make this completely mess free. There is a fair bit of oil in the lines and core (about 1.5L). The TOCA has a bypass so there is never only one path for oil to take, so during startup instead of pushing oil through the cooler, oil will take the path of least resistance which is through the bypass, this reduces warm up periods. Once the oil is above the cracking temp (70deg C) the bypass begins to close until it is fully blocked off at just over 80deg C, where the oil will only travel through the cooling loop

Unfortunately no, we are a manufacturer. The series we are working on with Speed Academy where we are building their turbo setup is for an educational piece to show how easily it is to use our products for such projects. There are MANY talented fabricators in the area and that use our parts that we can get you in contact with if you're interested.

The cooler as seen in the video is hanging from the bumper re-bar, and has a second mount that fastens to the floor when the bumper cover and shrouding is installed. This has been track tested and shows no sign of failure.
