Installing a SwampFox Sentinel on a Canik TP9 Elite SC

Спорт

This is another PLAN that didn't go as expected. Just add a red dot to a Canik TP9 ELITE SC and hit the range. It started off bad when I ordered the sight, 24+ days to arrive, USPS is NOT reliable, Optic lid was a chore to remove from the slide, the screws were to short and the new screws had a head that was to large. Just another day at PaPa D's. The sight did get installed and it looks very nice. The next video will be the sight in and running drills. MORE TO COME

You didn't need the adapter plate. So it WAS a 5 min job.

Thank you for making this video. I spent 2 hours going through all of my gun parts storage cabinet trying to fund some screws to mount plate to Canik. Then mount Swampfox to the plate. Thought I waa losing it. Now I know it wasn't just me having the same issue.

Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching. Swampfox has a screw it that has been very helpful, $20. Many sizes in the kit.

From the research that I have done the Swamp Fox optic can mount directly to the slide. The mounting plate is not needed for that optic. It may be needed for other brands of optics though.

I will look at the mounting holes and see if that holds true. I think I remember the blank plate mounting holes being forward of where I needed them to be. More to come.

Also swamp fox has a Optics kit called the Ultimate Red Dot Mounting Kit for about $20 that has every screw you would ever need.

Saw a guy take a small punch and push out the optic cover from underneath the slide, through three small holes

I have not checked, but I had a viewer tell me there are threaded holes on the underside of the slide that push the lid up and out when you screw the right length screw in it. Let me know what you find.

Sorry he said a small punch from the under side is what he used.

That is correct. Move your slide back and there are two holes that you can use your punch to gently tap out the cover. I moved my punch from one hole to the other, tapping one or two times, until the cover came off into the palm of my hand. Easy does it.

@@tonybrown8378 Thanks for the input on this. I wish I had known this before I started. This information maybe in the owners manual, but I still haven't read it. KZread university has solved many problems for me.

I had a very similar experience with usps but they completely lost mine and I had to get a refund. Then I decided to buy it off of Amazon since they are faster and more reliable.
