PaPa D’s Range Time Watts

PaPa D’s Range Time Watts

Hello, I'm PaPa D as my grandkids call me. I'm an NRA Instructor, Husband, and Christian. I welcome people to view my channel to see where I am in my daily pursuit on being the best I can be. I fall short most days, The videos give me a way to review my "areas for improvement" and what I need to work on.

If I have a good range set, I will add speed, movement, positions and other challenges to Push myself. I understand the real world is not static, stand and shoot, hit your target and get your ribbon. I work on controlling my breathing, heart rate, nerves, as well as increasing speed and accuracy.

Please view my Webpage www.Duaynewattshandguntraining.com

I welcome comments, suggestion and ideas on training

Using both the circle and dot makes me look at the dot rather than the target. That sort of defeats the purpose of the optic. I started with both but now prefer the dot. Older shooters seem to like the circle or circle and dot at first. The circle does make it easier to find than just a dot as some portion of the circle will almost always be visible. The ScS does allow you to override the auto brightness. Read the manual carefully. It is not intuitive. I am a red dot noob, so it’s just my opinion. I need to find a good class.

I am a big revolver fan and love the old H&Rs. Many of them have a plastic piece at the head of the mainspring which deteriorates with time causing erratic ignition and eventually complete failure. It is an easy and inexpensive thing to repair but unfortunately if there are other issues with worn bearing surfaces on the cylinder etc. it can become hard to justify the expense. There are not a lot of good rimfire options. Ruger has some nice single actions though.

@@PaPaDsRangeTimeWatts i work on guns, i just didn't know where to spend my money this time with the hellcat. went with the crowd favorite, the apex brand. It made a 1% percent difference. The "upgraded" spring is too long and "stacks" when you pull the trigger. So as long as you use the stock firing pin spring, you will notice a very minimal difference. Not worth the money. The hellcat is the only gun I have purchased with a garbage trigger straight from the factory. Hard to believe since canik has great triggers at half the price. Absolutely baffles me. I appreciate your input here with the Prp. Seems to sit right around where I want it. Thank you for your video
