This week I install a barn door in a old house with out of level floors
Nice I just don’t get to many request for those anymore? Big fad now gone thing?
Yah I would say it’s fading but if you want to save room and you don’t want to rip apart the wall for a pocket door it’s your best option .

Does it get any kind of seals between the door and the frame ?

It doesn’t they aren’t ideal for privacy the do let quite a bit of light and sound through
