I hope this doesn’t sound creepy…because clearly we don’t know each other…but, it’s such a blessing and it brings so much joy to see your kiddos playing or following you around in your videos. I just love all the happiness your videos bring…not just from the wealth of garden answers you provide, but also from all the beautiful relationships you share with us…you, Aaron and your kiddos…you and your parents…you and Monica (and your bro gets an occasional shout out)…you and your friends and neighbors (well, we don’t see your neighbors, but you mention how wonderful they ALL are), and you and your community!! Laura and Aaron help me feel reassured in my decision to stay in my hometown during my adulthood. Having my parents around is a wonderful support system, especially now that I’m making them grandparents and they’re offering to provide free daycare!

I feel the same way you are spot on. There is so much that comes out in the videos and they are a good hearted family and you are not creepy. Sad state the world is in, when it is creepy to say good things about people.

This is gorgeous. Are you considering adding old fashioned lamp posts throughout your property to light it up at night? I can imagine strolling through right after sunset being so charming.

I have always wondered if landscape and outdoor lighting was a planned future project. Your gardens are so beautiful and having them highlighted at night is sort of magical. Also, I think I'd remove those windows from the porch just to be able to enjoy the sight and sound from there as well. Thanks for all that you do!

Y’all’s garden is turning into a botanical masterpiece that will rival any “professional” garden any day of the week! When you last toured us through the original garden I could just see it at maturity and it is beyond impressive! Well done and thanks for taking us along for the ride! Taking a stroll through her garden would feel like a scene from Downton Abbey! I love her English cottage garden approach with drifts.

Can I just say how much, as a woman, I love to see what a hard worker you are, Laura! You're always right in there doing the hard, dirty work and I appreciate that so much. I'm the same way. I don't have a partner, but I also love seeing the teamwork between you and Aaron. Very cool. You're sending a message that's more than gardening and I love that. The fountain looks beautiful!

I would just need a hammock or chaise lounger, and a good book out there in the shade close to the fountain. Definitely could take a good nap! It looks absolutely perfect in the dappled shade area. Also, Benjamin’s little legs marching behind you to the barn was adorable. He is such a good helper 🥰💚⛲️

SO PERFECT that you chose a style with a broad base that sits directly on the ground. You have many lovely items that are raised on various height pedestals, so this 'well-grounded' piece gives a good visual balance. Love it!

Would be really cool to see a still overhead shot (from drone footage) of the property from the same angle and fade from year to year since the time you bought the property to now and explain the changes you made each season. Sometimes it’s hard to understand the layout, plus you’ve done SO MUCH it would be really interesting to see the changes from that vantage point.

Gorgeous! My husband gave me a fountain for my 65 birthday this past month, we are still building the house so it is not put together yet. So seeing you put yours together is helping us plan too! And I am so excited just like you!

I have a cousin who has two Corgis. One is threeish years old, the other is not quite a year. She walks them both at the same time on a leash with two leaders. She took a video of walking them, and while the older was on the straight and narrow, the younger pulled a Laura with easily distracted moments, jaunting off to the side. It was hilarious 😂

The fountain is beautiful. What a perfect piece for that area. The escavator discussion was hilarious. The perfect video to start my weekend off.

Stunning!! I love your ideas of living vignettes throughout your property. You are very family oriented and these little relaxation hideaways will be so enjoyed. Do you still have plans to widen the other side of that walkway? The flowerbeds will be massive and gorgeous no doubt. I love how your face is clean at the beginning and not so clean at the end. That means you're having fun.

I always appreciate that when you do projects you show the reality of it all and the obstacles that occur with most projects not just the picture perfect ending. This allows your viewers ‘teachable moments’ for when we encounter bumps with our own projects. Thank you for that!

Bravo to the "heavy lifting" crew!! The fountain is quite beautiful and really makes this section a garden destination! May I suggest adding a few dwarf Japanese maples in the shade below the Shademaster Honey Locust (around the hoselink) to make a shady "grove" feeling to that corner of the fountain garden? Acer Palmatums like 'Waterfall' or 'Wilson's Pink Dwarf' or Acer Japonicum 'Abbey's Weeping' are zones 5/6 to 9, low growing (2-5 feet tall) and have beautiful color all season long. Start in pots so you can vary placement below the honey locust initially, but plant out in the landscape after a few years. I'm looking forward to seeing how this area develops. Congratulations! 😉

It’s beautiful. I have several small water fountains in my garden. They are so peaceful. When we move to more land, we will definitely be putting in a large fountain. It’s coming together Laura! I could feel your excitement! With each project, you can see more clearly your vision. Funny story, we had a black lab mix and our neighbors had a fountain similar to the size of yours. Sabrina, the dog, would meander over every afternoon and lie down under it. My neighbor would call and let me know that she was there. It was a daily occurrence. Maybe the sound of the fountain was soothing to her, or maybe she just really liked my neighbors!

Fountains are gorgeous but honestly they seem like a ton of effort! Cracking in winter, plugging, not working for mystery reasons, splash problems, cleaning them out. I love the look and your choice of fountains but I’m not sure I’m sold on going this route! 🤷🏻‍♂️😆🤩

This video made me smile today. Sitting here with my husband while he gets a blood transfusion and needed this joyful view of happiness. The children at the end brought so much joy to my heart. Thank you, Laura and Aaron for allowing us into your lives.

This is probably one of my favorite videos...Laura's uncontained excitement is so fun. I think the reveal of the "completed" Hartley with her gardens will be even more fun to watch when that happens.

What a beautiful fountain. The joy on Samantha’s face was priceless.

It was so cute how you let Aaron choose plants for the pots and to watch him try to play along. I’m trying to make my boyfriend a plant Dad - he built me a potting bench, moves my heavy pots while I’m pregnant, and bought me an obelisk for my first Mother’s Day. While watching you, he recently said, “I like her.” Thank you for helping in his training, Laura!

Laura, could you set aside a day when you and your Dad, with all the necessary parts go around your garden and fix the five other fountains you have. My favourite is Hebe, the mythical cupbearer and would she compliment your new Hartley garden? The kitchen fountain might just need some coins - Alan Titchmarsh, England's much loved head gardener said when he was learning horticulture at Kew Gardens they always had loose coins in their pocket and invariably a few coins would sort most trickles. And if it remains a problem move the affected planting below and replace with paving/cobbles. The hospitality fountain is so well placed to cool that particular area and used to work - actually they ALL used to work.

I can imagine you and Aaron relaxing on a bench in the evening while the kids play with little toy boats in that beautiful fountain. SO AWESOME!! 😍😍

Every fountain needs some tinkering : when installed, and then periodically. That’s the fun of fountains . Plus, sometimes we get tired and want to change them up a bit .. 💪🏽 It’s hard work and sometimes wet and dirty but always rewarding when you hear that perfect sound
