Pro tip: with the yellow overlays. With the dry install, don’t use a squeegee, tack the center on the light then spin your thumb in circular motion from the center out to the edge. Goes on perfect, no issues, no scratches, no heat required! Thanks for the video!

The wire tap connectors have a through hole and a hole that stops the wire from going through so the end of the new wire is not exposed out the back side of the wire tap connector. When you install them with both wires passing completely through the connector the new wire sticking out prevents the connector from closing properly as there is a plastic wall or stop that comes down on top of new wire. this wall is there to bottom out end of new wire inside the connector. I enjoyed the content of your video and due to a Rogue Deer collision I am about to dive into replacing a front clip on my daughter's 2021 Type R Civic Sport Hatchback. Watching your various videos have given me great ideas on what we can do rather than just a OEM stock replacement of the various parts.

Stay on those opt 7 tail lights. Just installed the smoked version on my white hatchback and let me tell you, what a difference!!!

Any tips on disconnecting the wiring harness from the headlight housing to install the wiring for side marker? Trying to install on my 2020 Si and no luck even getting it to budge.

I bought smoked covers, but the vendor omitted amber bulbs. Are the required for traffic code to be amber or would the stock bulb be acceptable?

I have a question, is the process to remove the fog light bezel the same for the 2020-2021 type r?

I have the same exact side markers but mine will only do either DRLs or signal. I can't get both to work. Do I need to get a switchback relay?

The haze is normal for tinted headlights. I have that on my Audi as well even it was applied by professional.

You know what’s crazy? I used to own an ep3 and one of the mods ppl used to do was to swap clear lights for amber lights because it was the “jdm” spec. A decade forward and it’s backwards.

So, do the tints for the headlight make the LED’s darker at night? Is it not as bright at night?

I was struggling at first to take off the plugs from the headlights. But their is a black cape you press on the plug. And it should come off. Passenger side: right side Driver side: left side

Huhu. In my headlights, I see tons of tiny impacts in the plastic glass. Can this be repaired or does it have to go to the bin? Mileage: 21,000 kilometers.

Nice video on lighting mods. When I was doing a rewiring job installing a head unit for my minivan, I used a better product than the t-taps you were using that allowed me to easily tap into an existing wire connection. They’re called positaps. What is sweet about this product is that you take the bare stripped end of a wire (in this case the red for the blinker) and a twist attach it to one end of the positap. On the other end of the positap, you attach your source wire into a channel and twist down over it. There is a sharp point within the tap that penetrates the insulation straight into the source wire and stay in pretty securely without needing to strip off any insulation. So far my wiring connections using these taps have no issues after 2 years of usage. There are different positaps that accommodate different wire gauges. 👍

He is using acuity trim tools. But you can use any brand trim removing tool, they work the same.

You could just protect the wire with split loom from Harbor Freight

Be wary of installing their films. I had them on my focus ST and it caused hundreds of spider cracks on my headlights over time.

With the Type R the led bulbs are integrated into the housing. So unfortunately no

Wire loom!! Use wire loom. You really really need a drop cloth, or special mat, or dedicated work bench to work on. Do you clean your guns with stuff just sitting on the concrete; I didn't think so....
