Hey 👋 buddy, definitely not my best moment with those spoon mirrors and not until my second go around did I find out you could pop the mirror off to install 🤦‍♂️ lol, still a pain in the rear aligning the spoon mirror to the stock mirrors, if the suma mirrors would of been available when I got mine I’d of spring for suma mirrors. I’d like to see a comparison between the two! Thanks for mentioning my channel!!!🤘Keep up the killer mod video’s!!

I want these so bad for my type R but every time I check they are still sold out 😟

Only mod have done to my type r is PRL intake hose an drop in fillter was 20 min job. My mirrors have all the things you don''t but like the blue tint glass.

There's alot wrong here. First, I was never able to get a screwdriver to push the rear tab down, period. But, I was throwing them away and putting on carbon fiber ones, so I just broke it. All back together now except that now that the mirror has been taken off, it will not stay on. I pressed hard enough to almost break it, moved it in circles per Honda's instructions with no success. I have a beautiful carbon fiber cap with no mirror on the passenger side. That little bit of pressure in the middle has not worked. Edit: FYI, per a buddy at the Honda dealership, the round coil spring that wraps around the tongs that grip the ball in the mirror housing will often bend one or more tabs inward, causing it/them to fold under and block the ball from entering. It was the top tab. Once I figured out how to slide it on at an angle to keep that tab up, all was well. Damn that was stressful!

After installing do you have any issues trying to move the side mirrors with the motor? For example, when inside the car when you’re trying to adjust the mirrors. I have issues where they don’t even move up or down neither left or right. Any help is appreciated!

I haven't checked in on the CTR build for a little while but it looks like it's coming along great!!!

where do you connect the red wire to work the sequential turn signal? do you have a video on how to install the side markers?

Ordered these new side markers. Also ordered some sequential signals for the back to replace the reflectors down on the bumper. Also ordered a mugen style rear top hatch spoiler that replaces the two horns on top, any idea how to get those things off? It supposed to replace it just like the optional top spoiler from the factory.

I tried this method for my 2005 Acura TSX. The mirrors turned out being too small to click into the plastic housing. Does anyone know if this method would be possible if I had a Euro R housing?

How’s the fitment on the carbon fiber mirror? I’ve wanted them but afternarket part fitment are usually not as good as OEM.

The carbon fiber mirror caps look great. Regarding the Suma mirrors, I know they are direct replacements but wouldn't you rather have the Spoon mirrors. Isn't there a way to mount the internals from the oem on to the Spoon? Plus, most people likes the Spoon's insigna on the mirror. They makes it a little cool looking.

Sick video, got a question though. Can’t help but notice on the mirror caps (MCARCAR KIT Mirror Cover fits Honda Civic 10th Sedan/Coupe/Hatchback 2016-2018) says up to 2018. Believe your type r is the year 2019 model and I just want to make sure if the mirror caps still holds up well on your car. My model is 2019 as well. All in all sick build man 👌🏽

Hello I own a dry cleaners in GA You problem can be resolved by asking your cleaner for a dry cleaning chem apply on the stickers or that sticky pad Then remove it

The contour line on the SUMA side markers don’t exactly line up with the car body line, right?

Hello there, could get your name please. I just bought the suma performances mirror and installed them on my honda civic type r. The adjustable mirror are working on the left side. But on the right side it doesn’t want to move at all. So I am not sure why they are not working. Maybe I didn’t installed them properly? I am not sure. Please reach to me for some help.

Yo, I’m a huge car guy and just barely got into guns too! I race on circuit tracks here in Phoenix AZ and would love to bring you out some day!

Mine where a pain in the ass to get off, I figure it's due to it being almost 4 years old when I decided to swap the mirror caps to CF. I ended up breaking a side clip on the mirror mount drivers side and cracked the stock mirror cap on the passenger side....oh well not going to re sell anyways. Next I plan on wrapping my hood till I can afford a real CF hood.

Kinda funny Spoon makes stick on mirrors for the Fk8... I got true replacement OEM replacementirror glass for my Eg6. Not stick ons, real replacement mirror glasses.

Since you have had the mirrors for a while, have your eyes and brain adjusted to the wide angle? You get a wider view but it looks like objects behind you appear to be further away. Still like them? Keep up the excellent work!

The mirrors on the 2018+ accord are way harder than the civic to remove

I really wish they would build some replacement mirrors for the Honda Civic EK and other models. I was in the market to buy some spoon mirrors but when they are indeed just stick-on mirrors that sounds kind of cheap to me

If you watch other spoon fitment videos they remove the original mirror glass from its plastic frame with heat. Then the spoon mirror glass is stuck into the plastic frame in its place. Instead of just sticking glass over glass, because that is cheap af.

As a Honda nut, I love Spoon engines, but... it seems that their other equipments are less than perfect. I watched another video where Spoon rim were apparently made for the FK8, but the fenders had to be rolled after installment...

The sw88s are 1.5 inches wider at the lip and +20 mm offset from what I'm seeing and fk8s have a flush-ish fit as is so it's not anything uncommen from what I can see

TORQ Toolbox you know it! I’ve got a handful done already... Rays GramLights, PRL high flow intake, Cusco strut tower, Borla Atak exhaust with CF tips. A real CF steering wheel. bunch of Acuity pieces in the shifter & Poco shift knob. Debating on lowering, the roads around me suck in Massachusetts. Also have a handful of Overland Designs Alcantara pieces and random CF bits inside too. Planning on PRL intercooler upgrade kit and downpipe/ frontpipe. Plus planning a bunch of other CF goodies! LOVE the car, Honda did an awesome job with it!! I need to choose a tune soon, not sure whether to go Hondata or KTuner....

"increase its value" when you go to resell is more like "recoup some losses" because I for one know doing authentic mods to any civic doesnt add value lol...you dont buy that stuff, you merely rent it. same goes for people who finance a $70,000 car and put a $10,000 set of HREs on it...

Car mirrors can be dangerous, I'm serious, I accidentally had one break, it cut my hand, one surgery, two week in the hospital from an infection and 6 months of physical therapy, 7 years later my hand hurts every second of everyday and have limited use of my hand.
