This problem seem to stem from previously deactivated and then reactivated yahoo accounts. Yahoo has disabled receiving account recovery emails to recovered accounts. I’ve tried for weeks to regain access to my ig account but my recovered yahoomail never received any code. But your amazing video finally got me thru that! YOU’RE A WIZARD! I finally got an email for the reset password part. However, I’m still unable to receive the code. I’ll try again in a day or two. Being able to receive the email is a huge step already. Thank you soooo much!! EDIT: I GOT THE CODE! Try switching devices to log in and request code. I COULD KISS YOU RN!!! Been crying for weeks about my account. Subbing and sharing your video to all the online forums, groups, and websites discussing the same problem. YOU ARE MY HERO THANK YOU ILYSM!!!!!!!!!

after you confirm email in Facebook, you first need to request "forgot password" link in IG, and follow the link in the email to get the code

@@izzylie the email attached to my IG is gmail. I used to get the emails bit I don't anymore. My facebook email is yahoo but I do receive emails from FB/IG. Issue is I am trying to reset my PW on IG which I forgot and I don't receive the reset emails on my Gmail.

Hi I'm in a situation where the email that is tied to my instagram was already routed to facebook. I think I may have entered the pw wrong too many times in one session and since it says please follow these steps before your account is disabled, and prompts me to use the link in my email to log in but the email never arrives.
