Advice for whomever might have this issue: Activating quick capture will damage your sd card so it's always recommended to first start the camera wait for it to power up and only after that to press record. I don't have the X3 however this is mentioned in the sd card section on every camera manual I had untill now.

The thing is the Gopro in 5 years of usage in quick capture hasn't failed once...

To whomever is using the camera, I've had the same problem with expensive cards, and all the cards Insta360 recommends on their website. So I went with what I use in another device for over a year now, and it works fine with the Insta 360 X3 also. The card I recommend is: SAMSUNG EVO PLUS Class 10, UHS-I U3 256GB. Filled these cards over and over again, totalling around 5 TB of footage over a 4 month period. Hope this helps anyone !

What recovery software do you use?

This video accurately reflects my experience. I purchased three cameras from Insta360, and each one failed. The first functioned well for a few weeks before it ceased to detect the SD card. The second camera had the same problem. After returning it, I acquired a third one, but it failed to power on right out of the box, and even after being fully charged. I'm puzzled as to how Insta360 continues to sell such unreliable products.

I just had that happen. However, I put the card into my home computer and it read everything fine. So I copied it to my hard drive. I don't know if it makes a difference but I did a full formatting of the card rather than a quick format.

I just had the same issue right now! Been using for a year almost, filmed half a day today and it was working well. When I got home "NO SD CARD". What recovery software do you use?

Could I ask you this please about the Insta X3 Reader. When it is plugged into your phone, the Lightning socket is then unavailable. Could I plug it into my Iphone, then plug a 'C' Extension cable into a power supply and plug 'C' plug on the reader, into the other end of the extension cable and have my phone charging whilst I'm using it?

Hi! I just saw this video and I was just using my X3 a few days ago, now it is not detecting any SD card. My SD cards are fine and they work if I connect to my PC. How did you make it work to read the SD card again?

I am having this problem with my ONE RS 😠 😞 Any way to recover my files? I’m so sad. The RS randomly turns off and won’t turn on anymore until I connect it to a charger. Then it says it’s fully charged

Not the only flaw. Only recording 29 minutes, then losing 15 seconds before it restarts. That's a huge flaw to me. GoPro's record non-stop.

I ended up ditching mine for a DJI action camera , much better.

I got my camera one month ago and started the same issues, I changed the memory card a few times and I am still getting problems, now half of the files are good and the next half corrupted, plus the camera getting very hot when I am making a video and sometimes the start button doesn’t work properly

bro i have been also experiencing the same thing when i start recording and the recording will reach about more than 4-5 mins I notice that the device is getting really hot and then it suddenly freezes. There is no other way to stop the recording but to take off the battery and put it back again. Then when i review the footage it says FILE CORRUPTED and it cannot be previewed. I have also tried different cards and the issue is still there. WTF is wrong with this camera. Have you already solved the problem bro?

@@G1nda hey bro I am using a memory card 128GB V30 now and I am getting less problems but the camera still being hot after two or three minutes of use, I messaged the 360 technical support, they gave me some instructions to follow but nothing worked, I going to continue using the camera for now until I can find other solutions and I will share with you Have a good day ahead

mine started turning itself off and on just by itself. i film for YT as well and they are saying i need to send it in which may take a month. which is disappointing considering the reason i bought this is because i was pick pocketted for my gopro and dont have another camera. very disappointing.

Straight out the box yesterday Worked for 5 mins then kept showing no sd card. What a £500 pile of junk. Customer service is rubbish too don’t respond straight away. Regretting buying this camera big time

@insta360 is the worst camera you can buy. I’ve owned 5 x3s and they’ve all been bad and had issues and dealing with support is the worst. I swear that it’s a scam to steal your data.
