Are you using a red filter on GoPro? We never have to do any color correction or enhancements. Live the info bc I’ve been considering buying the Insta360. Does it come with underwater housing, and how would the flip screen help under water? Thanks a million!

I did not (and never do) use any filters! I'm not sure if there's a housing that allows the screen flipped. I'll need to search for that!

I think you just convinced me to buy the Insta360! We have been thinking about upgrading our ancient GoPro 5. Can't wait for the low-light test!

I’m hoping that you will present your recommendations for using the Ace Pro underwater with the best settings in an upcoming video on your KZread channel! I have been using GoPro on all my dives for a few years now and just recently purchased the Ace Pro and the DJI Osmo Action 4 to compare with my GoPro 12

Great video comparison, thanks for sharing this with us and certainly tempting to add a 360 Ace Pro to my equipment list. However, on your side by sides, whilst i agree the colour and likely AI manipulation of the image is preferable on the 360 (this is all achievable in post production with either camera anyway), it looks like the depth of field and features on the horizon is picked up better on the Go-Pro! I can see some features and material in the background on the Go-Pro footage which is not visible on the 360. This could be a result of the AI processing and colour corrections. I think your low light tests are really going to provide the compelling reasons to adopt a 360 in the equipment list. Thanks again @DiveSage for the great video

@@DiveSAGA just watched those also, indeed it looks like the 360 is able to pickup far more detail in low light. Would be great to see a side by side in low light tho 😀 we’re never satisfied…

What settings was the ace pro on? The preset dive setting from factory?

Great comparison. Did you use any video lights or only natural light? I still record some stuff with a GoPro 10 as I don’t see the need to upgrade it (yet) and I always use video lights…

It depends how you like shooting. I usually do between 60 and 120fps depending on whether I think I will want slow motion or not.

Awesome review! Just a question. Does the video color correction of the Ace Pro also applies to the photo mode? I would love to see a photography review of the Ace Pro

Yes it does! I probably won't make a review video just for the photos but in general the same corrections take place!

I didn't see that option but you can shoot up to 8k and then crop as needed

Do the insta 360 work nice in photography mode?

Yeah! I don't use it super much because I'm always doing video but when I've done it, the results were reasonable!

Interesting, can't wait to see the low light test. However, as far as my needs are concerned, the possibility of using the 8:7 format is a option that I could never do without!

Fairly big difference I would say... I'd have the Insta360 for sure.
