I am a student , want to study in iiser through iiser aptitude test (IAT). I am a obc-ncl student. If my family income is low (less than 5 lakhs per annum) then can I get any consession in fees/expenses for pursuing bs-ms from IISER ?

Dii Your speaking skills your way of explaining = 😎 BUT the quality of videos on your channel =🗿 Di after knowing about iiser bhopal i got a goal as i was preparing for neet coz i was a bright student tiĺl 10th hence parents said choose science pcmb u know indian parents mentality and prepare for neet btw i was not much interested in medical field but i also didn't know much about what should i do so i said yes for neet coz i was having interest in bio but then i got to know about kvpy and as my first love was always in research and science so i gave kvpy in 11th there i did get a 40 out of 100 in kvpy but for obc the cutoff was 50 sad me thought i would definitely crack it in 12th but the gov canceled it in my 12th now after boards things didn't went well in my neet exam and i didn't get a seat as i was not much determined to be a doctor and now i am currently a dropper but i got to know about iiser through you i can't thank you in words coz i was directionless You gave me a path to my dream goal (research) i am much determined now i will study hard and i am confident enough coz i know i had worked hard this year till now and will until my exams I'll give neet but wil definitely not forget about IAT and will definitely try to score good in iat and come to iiser bhopal coz and take bs in engineering science or economics as i have pcmb in my +2 And fingers crossed if i get into iiser bhopal will definitely try to meet you dii ... Bro your story is exactly like mine lol But I just took PCM and wanted to give JEE Damn similar story Well does that mean you and I both cannot get the scholarship being mentioned here? That's kinda sad And yes I am literally angry seeing that KVPY got removed bruh I mean I could have given KVPY atleast in 12th, sure I would have not qualified, but in my drop year, I would still have had an attempt left and thus got scholarship if possible The government did remove KVPY but didn't adjust KVPY into the INSPIRE programme that well... For droppers especially Also removing giving stipends to all IISER students was another bad move I hope that they make a rule that "students scoring good marks in IAT exam will get scholarship" so that we get another chance at getting the scholarship Scholarship like this is a huge relief, literally half of the fees will be gone then lol... Huge economic relief... Anyways fees is still okay of IISER, it has increased a lot btw, and the stuff being provided has not... I would say that the fees should be less as this is not even IIT In IITs people can take study loan and pay later in 2 years and then go on and do other stuff But here people would study 5 years for BSMS and then another 5 years for PhD and then at 30 get less salary fans also maintain a family from 30 onwards, which makes it impossible to pay back money from a loan Government should really think about this and also include atleast a WITHIN IISER "merit based" scholarship atleast so that those guys who missed out on INSPIRE can still be economically relaxed
