People should be aware that artists' rights are protected under the Cine Workers Act, which has been approved by the government. However, due to a lack of awareness, it is not being effectively implemented. Both the public and the government have forgotten about it. Many individuals, including myself, are urging the government to activate the Act, and we encourage everyone to join this cause.

Is the Casting Directors the new cartel through which aspirant actors HAVE to go through, to get to be considered by the Production Houses/Independent filmmakers? One can understand, that in the highly stressful logistics of film making, a production house or director cannot have the time to sift through thousands of eager actor aspirants, but the discerning eye of Producers/Directors may see what they need, rather than a 'sub vendor'...

You should spend money on yourself because you want to look good and perform well.
