Haha well thanks and oh yeah lots of cleaning. I'm about to go out there and do a full clean after doing this video so I can start on a new one. It's crazy how messy things get when working and on top of that recording a video
finally I understand the purpose of the tools and machines in my mom's workshop when i was a kid!
what a workshop....stunning....so many machines and all so fancy and it goes to show this has come a long way since I was a student doing my fine arts degree where I chose silversmithing as my major. I loved it but wow...my fingers were so sensitive with all the filing we did, it was worth it and my favourite was casting. I know it was complicated with the kiln and hot wax and getting the measurements according to what you were doing. This has brought it all back but with a new eyes now that I see there is great advancement with such machinery and tools ...I loved it and thank you for such an insightful tutorial
I work in a dental lab and the similarities are always fun to watch. I do think the lab process and tool we use makes it a lot quicker
This video is THE standard for these types of videos. Excellent presentation & explanations. Great work! Thanks for your effort! 🤙✌️

This is my dream, having my own 3D printer and cast my own designs from my home! This is so badass. I’ve been teaching myself for about three years and doing it all by hand, and thankfully found a jeweler who casts them for me ( and gives me greatly needed tips and criticisms) it’s an expensive hobby but gosh I wish I was better. This was fantastic. I already have casting experience from 3D printing and casting silicone molds in pressure pots. I knew metal casting was similar but different enough that if I ever wanted to do it I'd need to do research. I'm currently debating printing and metal casting prop dagger or if it would be better to just print it in resin and paint it/faux gold leaf it. Pros and cons to both I feel

Wow! The ammount of Tools, Machines, Equipment, needed to accomplish this! Thanks for sharing this! It was very organized!
I have been watching videos about this for days. Your vid does an excellent job of tying things all together so that it makes sense from start to finish. I am interested in making small brass or bronze parts for some models that currently make use of resin printed parts that are not quite durable enough. I think that this is the direction that I need to go. Not cheap to start from scratch (I already have the printer and associated support equipment) but it seems like the only way to reliably get accurate small metallic castings. Thanks for the nice vid, it was quite helpful! As are the links.

Hi, love you video, watched it multiple times ❤ what silver is tarnish resistant for casting? Is it possible to use the vegetable glycerin multiple times? It seems a bit wasteful to chuck it each time. Can you put the glycerin in the vacuum chamber to remove some of the bubbles?

Hi Gomeow, thanks a ton for making this video. I’m learning how to cast right now and it’s made me realize I can do it. One quick question for the investment process, do you have to mix for the full 4 minutes or get it fully mixed in under 4 minutes? Same with the vacuum, do you hold the vacuum for 1 minute and then 2 minutes and then release the vacuum after the full minute or two? Thanks.
My good video, what resin did you use? Can you use a standard resin or should you definitely use a castable resin?
Great video, but so much equipment and work needed !

Hey had a quick question how does power resins wax do after casting my gold caster keeps having problems with the quality of the cast after it most of the time it comes out with damaged prongs and holes in the gold any suggestions should I tell him to try resin casting process when casting ?
do you have an actual link to the ring print file?
hi what happens if i uv cure the resin without the glycerin? and how long do i set the uv curing machine for small rings? thanks you
Great video! I’m quite familiar with the process of lost wax casting as I used to work with my Dad in his dental lab before he retired and we used to do some fun jewelry projects on the side, but all the tools went to my uncle who started his own lab in nyc. I’ve become a lot more interested in 3D printing in the last couple years and this has rekindled some casting ideas however I live in an apartment and thus can’t operate a hobbyist forge lol not to mention the equipment costs. Just out of curiosity, if I were to provide the 3D design stl & the material, would you be able to cast some things for me? What would you charge for that sort of thing? I already have a few designs I might want to try. Looking forward to your response! Thanks!
