Does anybody realize how many foreigners decided to visit Romania just because of the true feedback from this cool guy ? Thank you Mark for your exposure to the romanian culture ! I'm a romanian living in the USA for half of my life but I am going back this year ...we need to take our country back .. if not us who else ?

The truth is that Romania is an extremely beautiful country, very rich from a cultural, gastronomic point of view. We are extremely hospitable, friendly and we like to make friends from all over the world. We love it when we demonstrate our culture, our personality and we are proud that we are Romanians. I recommend you to visit us!

I’ve been to Romania 🇷🇴 over 10 times; you won’t be disappointed. It’s a wonderful country. You have to see Sibiu too. It’s better than Brașov.

Romania is artificial state , only 160 years "old", name of state was invented in 1877 , name of the people in the same way. The valach "romanian" history was invented in XIX. century , created the daco-roman theory with the reason to legalise they right for Transylvania. Transylvania was a region of Hungary for 1000 years before romanian ocupation in 1918.

I'm having an Inception moment right now. I'm a Romanian visiting Thailand, eating Pad Thai and Tom Yum and watching Mark Wiens eating Sarmale and Papanasi in Romania. :))

Im from Nigeria and i can tell u i have been to Romania 2 times already for vacation and one of the greatest things i found out since im a black man is that theres no racism and they are so welcoming and friendly with me always smiling to me unlike west european countries.... they dont have racism in Romania its more like even when they say "ooh theres a black man over there" they dont mean it in a bad way its more like they are excited to have black ppl visiting them and that makes me feel comfortable thats why i always visit and i plan on going for the 3d time with my family soon. yeah its probably because romania isn't being overrun with african 'boat people' illegal alien migrants, so the romanians don't have as much of a negative association with africans as western europe does...

I recently spent almost 40 days in Romania, 10 days in Brasov and 30 days in Bucharest. Very beautiful country with nice people, loved it :)

Thanks! Served with the Romanians in Iraq (Great soldiers) and was there on business, but no time for fun. Retired and can break into my retirement in 2 more years and I will visit these places!

You need to try that garlic sauce with fried or grilled meat and u will see why romanians like it so much . Google "mujdei". And if u get there ...try polenta too ;)

I just realized that sarmale looks like Turkish sarma and we eat it with yogurt. Sarma means wrapping in Turkish. Very similar, good coincidence.

The first thing you notice of Romania is not just the language is Latin, the people are extremly welcoming and friendly too

I've travelled quite a bit throughout Europe, and the other day it ocurred to me I've never been to Romania! Every romanian person I've ever met in my travels was super cool and cultured. Right now Romania is top of my bucket list :)

Toata calatoria asta e la invitatia Ministerului Turismului. Daca observi, Mark e cu "ghizi" tot timpul, are in itinerariu pus la punct. You can visit Romania is not that expensive with like 20e(100lei) or 40euro(200lei) you can eat alot in 1 day and the hotels prices are cheap like 1 night is 250-500 lei depends

I'm actually working and Living here in Braşov for 5 years and i must say that this place is undeniably a gem very traditional and food is simply exquisite. 🇵🇭 x 🇹🇩

Myself and my wife was invited to attend her brother's wedding to a beautiful Romanian lady in Romania and as South Africans we were delighted but did not know what to expect. Turned out it is a beautiful country with wonderful people and fantastic food. Would go again in a heartbeat should the oppertunity arise and can really recommend Romania as a tourist destination. Was a great experience!

Every other foreign person visits only Brasov, Bucharest and Dracula's Castle. Besides the fact that it all only legend about Vlad the Devil and all stories that go around are mostly invented, we have other places which are really beautiful. If you checked out the movie The Nun (which was shot in Romania), The Abbey of Carta is an actual place, but without any real records of suicidal nuns. Greetings from a Romanian :)

Historically speaking, the Romanians " brothers" were the mountains, the green forest, the Danube and the Black Sea. Genetically Hungarians are "distant relatives". The rest is gargle...

Hi Marc, my thai/laosian grandma (we live in Canada) recently passed away at 86 yrs old from lung and brain cancer. She was one of your biggest fans. She would tell me about your family and spoke of them as if she knew you. Thank you for making your videos. It was her one comfort the past year and a half during her cancer stages. Her passion and love for cooking is what I share with my grandma. We used to sit and watch your videos for hour. All the best to you and your family.

I love Romania so much. The first time I went there it was not long after the dictator and his wife were executed. There was no color anywhere. People walked with their heads down, never making eye contact. I cannot tell you how much I love watching this and seeing these amazing people happy.

This guide is awesome! So much enthusiasm even though he probably allready done it numerous times. U can almost see him drooling when he's talking about the cheese wheel pasta ! If i feel down on society and people, i watch these kind of videos and completely cheer up to watch people like this guy and Mark !

@@garoabaer Au bucatarie excelenta grecii, si sa nu uitam ca bucataria romaneasca e de fapt inexistenta fiind formata din bucatarie ruseasca, ungureasca, bulgareasca, greceasca, turceasca, sarbeasca, nemteasca la un loc...recent si italieneasca. N-avem mancaruri specifice, in afara de mici, poate si ciorba de burta.

@@RockstarEater there is a Romanian restaurant in Los Angeles . Is called Parsnip. I doubt that the food will taste the same as in Romania but is worth a try

That’s because it Texas and in USA in general you don’t have culture of food and history of food all imported and mixed by many different emigrants .. you need to go to whatever country in Europe to see what really is rich amazing real fresh food

I love romania and how they keep there traditions , We go to brasov every year i think brasov is amazing i prefer brasov to anywhere in the uk , nice and hot in the summer and freezing cold and lots of snow in the winter , amazing food and restaurants and very friendly people and very cheap

holy crap that first kitchen was so busy yet so clean those a really professional cooks for real im actually impressed by both the cleanliness AND sanity of that kitchen

Usually all central and easter Europe is strictly clean, kitchens, schools, even public toilets .. but whole Europe in general.. I think it is all from all that plagues from far past that taught Europe to be very clean and careful

Wow, this is so fascinating seeing a foreigner take huge bites of traditional roumanian food and not even squint once. I am Romanian and I don't like half of the foods you had there LOL. Amazing!! The tourist guides you had did an amazing job presenting the best sample of traditional food we have here and also choosing the best restaurants. This was just amazing to watch. Thank you for the free content!

This the kind of love and hospitality that peace on our planet stems from.The showing of wonderful food and culture is all we need.

I'm from Brazil and my country has a very diverse cuisine and the Romanian cuisine seems to be delicious. 😋

I have been to Romania more than 4 times. Its my favourite balkan country (i am from Greece). I hope in the future heavy tourism industry will not destroy her character.
