I visit the White House twice in November 1994. The best day out of my life walking through all that Presidential history. My favourite room on the state floor was the blue room. I also liked the vermeil room on the ground floor. The Truman administration structural maintenance was really needed. Jackie Kennedy upgraded the White House with fine art to be of museum standard . Nancy Reagan renovation made the White House beautiful as was the China set badly needed for state dinners.

Imagine calling something on _KZread_ "secret"...

Having been to the White House in 1996 (I took the then "8-room tour" of the bottom two floors), I was surprised at how VERY SMALL the Green, Blue and Red Rooms were, as well as the State Dining Room and East Room. Truman ordered that the measurements of the original rooms NOT CHANGE AT ALL from their original size when the WH was gutted and renovated while he was POTUS.

Most of the stuff listed in the beginning have been added by various presidents, for their use, then those things are available for use by future presidents. I think that is kind of nifty. Also, I know the White House brews its own beer. I found that nifty as well. The 80,000 dollar golf simulator reminds me of a friend of a friend who had a 50,000 dollar flight simulator in his garage, that would be cool. I am trying to think what I would want to add the the White House if I were in office, but I also would not really want the taxpayers footing the bill. P.S. Olson 2028
