Was curious how often and when do they clean their machinery? Might be an interesting process to see.

I have always wondered who designs and makes all these machines. It would be most interesting to make a documentary about how these machines are imagined, conceptualized, designed and built.

I always wondered too. Geniuses for sure. I always wanted to do small scale Ice Cream production, so I've given it some thought. You got all those temperature issues in there too.

It's a field called industrial controls and automation. It's a multi-disciplined field involving physics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical theory, electronics, robotics, and programmable logic controllers.

The containers are 50 ml smaller and almost $7 bucks for a 450 ml tub... And the chocolate is a shade lighter ❤ but I love it, Chocolate peanut butter is my favorite

I love their ice cream. My favorite was the pistachio until I discover their ice cream spirit line (bourbon, rum, Irish cream, etc.). I would eat a pint in one sitting until I found out it’s not healthy 😆

Looking at these machines makes me feel proud of how complex a civilization and economy humanity is sustaining!

Am I the only person who's fascinated by this whole line of ice cream production equipment? It would be very interesting to have a tour in person one day and end the tour by sampling some freshly made Häagen-Dazs ice cream in different flavours😋

Have you seen and tasted how sugary the ice cream is? It’s gross all you taste is sweet. Yeah it’s ice cream but they need to tone it down.

I don't know about better. Back in the day it was half&half (milk and cream), sugar, chocolate powder. Toss in bag in ice. I've a tub of Haagen Dazs in front of me right now: cream, skim milk, cane sugar, egg yolk, vanilla bean, vanilla extract What could they possibly take out? The vanilla extract I suppose, but I don't fancy paying $6/pint. The egg yolk? It's the secret ingredient to some added richness, making it almost like a French Vanilla.

Haagen-Dazs is by far and away the most simple ice cream if you look in the ingredient on the back, Mostly milk, sugar and cream. They don’t put a lot of junk in the ice cream like most do.

Well I work on a milk factory and they put 8 oz. Of milk in launch frizers for the work staff, I'm pretty sure they have their own testers and free dairy products for the work staff as well.

an advantage to haagen dazs is that you get the basic ingrediants for each flavor with a bare minimum of stabilizers, preservatives.

I remember when they had Hagen Daz special additions in the early 9O’s. When it was discontinued I was really upset it took months to get over um the disappointments because I couldn’t enjoy that ice cream anymore

Been to the the processing plant in Oakland CA not far from my hometown Sacramento its almost exactly like this one

When export to my country the price for 1 tiny cup is around $4. 😥😂 So i decided to make my own icecream. 👍😉

I like that the basic flavors like chocolate and strawberry have the most simple ingredients, literally just cream, milk, sugar, egg yolk and whatever the flavor is. In the strawberry ice cream strawberries come before sugar on the ingredient list too. Unfortunately a lot of the other flavors have corn syrup and other stuff though.
