If you think the structural issues are bad then you should investigate the workloads and working conditions for the employees.
the entire country is falling apart not only prisons.
The crisis is the system itself and not just federal prisons, State prisons are 15 times worse
I’m still investigating with other citizen journalists and reporters and lawmakers. To be continued nationwide.
Everything is falling apart in America.

@@kem2271 its all by design, this is what a country looks like as it transitions to a socialist /communist state, have no fear, it gets much worse then what were currently experiencing, there're only in the beginning steps, it gets to it high point once they run out of other people money, once this happens the entire bottom falls out. let me add , it doesn't matter if drump gets back in or not , its not a matter of if the US falls but when. we've come to the point of no return, all because of a single rouge admin.

The federal prison I worked at part of the perimeter fence fell down due to lack of maintenance over the years. I’m telling you from experience that the BOP does not fix problems. All they do is put band aides on things.

I know our government has the money to fix these prison’s because our government just gave Ukraine 200 million dollars.
Owners of these prisons should be charged with hate crimes, wrongful imprisonment, and wrongful enslavement

If we made life better for the population and people where aloud to live a descent life making a good wage you wouldn't have to repair prison's. No one would want to go to prison with life being so good on the outside. I mean I know it won't stop all the crime. But I bet it sure would put a good dent in the crime Waves. Let's think about helping people out of poverty instead of building places to store people. Ya I know it's a nice dream!

Orange is the New Black glamorized Federal Prisons.
They should look Leavenworth Camp… that place is horrible and no one is doing nothing about it
Retired with over 26 years working in 6 different Federal prisons part of the problem is every year the budget for the prison gets lower so prisons have lower how many staff some are so bad that they are staffed at 80% which than makes other staff work Overtime many times unwanted ot then if said prison was given for example 100 million to run for the year and you now have to pay extra OT
Build a whole new prison on an island that holds every single inmate in the entire USA and then tear down every eyesore prison we have to look at
@NamelessVoice808
5 ай бұрын
Those eye sore are county jails and for profit prisons that are popping up everywhere.
we are spending 81 billion a year on prisons every year! we pay billions to private prisons who dont meet their inmate quotas… this is all screwed
Prisons and prison systems seem to be entirely synonymous with the American people, don't they? They really are quite the fatherly occurrence now and then, aren’t they? What a wonderful world they live in.
Maybe instead of sending aid packages to other countries we should use that money to fix Americas infrastructures
Release doctor afiya Siddiqui
It’s easy. They hire Bop staff that don’t know shat about facilities and maintenance. Most times they hire within and hire people that don’t even know about electrical, hvac and other stuff. They hire who they want and who they like but that hurts the facility because no one knows how to fix anything. Then they have to contract out wasting even more money when they could have done the repairs in house if they just hired people who know what they’re doing
The institutions in facilities ( maintenance) staff come in at 730am off at 4pm during that time because of inmate accountability getting tools from tool room 2x a day and returning then 2x a day and inmate movement they actually only have like 4 hours a day to actually make repairs and many of these repairs are because of inmates tearing things up why because they can
Once you've served you're time, your sentence is done
