Jimmy (the keeper - not the Giraffe!) is seriously 1 of the coolest keepers on the planet 👍 Made my studies with the Ungulate team SO amazingly F.U.N! 👏

I recently did my practical lessons at Taronga zoo for five days it was so much hard work but I was so lucky to work with the ungulate keepers and they are the nicest people I have ever met as well as the primate keepers. the giraffes and zebras were beautiful I love them all, I’m so happy that they have these videos of behind the scenes. It just makes me so happy to look back at the videos knowing that I was there and that so many other people will be able to experience this and to see these beautiful creatures. I’m sad that my year of studying at Taronga zoo is coming to an end but I can’t wait to volunteer next year hopefully to see these beautiful animals again and work with these fantastic keepers who are making a difference.

That was a fantastic talk. Love seeing how it all works behind the scenes. The new giraffe barn still has the classic views over the Harbour. It's like a ballroom. Just needs a mirror ball, hehe. Oh, and that giraffe is the biggest I've ever seen. Neck seemed extra long. So elegant, and those eyelashes. Gorgeous. He should have his own Vogue cover edition.

Well, something I suppose I would like to see are things such as more keeper to animal interactions, especially keepers alongside the Thai elephants in their outdoors enclosure! It would be so nice to see the keepers with the animals, especially alongside the large ungulates like rhinos and elephants and hippos(if that's even possible albeit with the pygmy or the big ones) and having fun times with them like mud bathing and scrubbing Indian Rhinos, hugging Nala the female Australian Sea Lions(I just love her colours too much!), trick training Parrots, petting Tapirs, grooming Gibbons, running with Thai Elephants, play bowing and chasing African Wild Dogs and Dingoes, being chased by Common Wombats, bottle feeding and cuddling Joeys & other young animals, making complex enrichment toys and activities for different kinds of animals, and all of those sorts of things that really show the true level of trust and compassion between the keepers and the animals they take care of! I know I might be asking a bit much but it would be mean the world to many of us if you could show these sorts of activities! Thank you so much for replying and all I can hope is for my wishes to come true and for you, your staff, and the animals under your care to have an amazing and lovely day!
