    +Bobby Lee I can write an essay about this shit, lets begin, bring on the fanboy rage... I rewatched the original trilogy just last night, and i have to say, is why the fuck didn't the rebels just beam the plans to the base on Yavin, when the the imperials attacked the tantive IV? it shouldn't take that long, let alone how could rebels that have ONE fucking base have the ability to destroy let alone capture the plans from a high tech powerful empire that we see thats even more powerful in empire strikes back, to its most powerful weapon plans... The fact the empire just sat on their asses saying "oh their not gonna find a weakness to our ultimate power in the universe" instead of thinking of ways "oh they have our plans, don't we have a backup somewhere? lets see where we fucked up so we can protect our weakness or implement and fix it so they don't destroy what clearly is the worst weakness in cinema/story telling history" Now lets cross out the prequels, I enjoyed them, i loved them, they had great ideas, and there is effort in them, but they aren't perfect movies, not even the originals, if you ask me the the only thing that is perfect that is in the star wars universe that is Kotor, Kotor is hands down better than the 6 movies.. Bioware knows how to make a good story in the star wars universe.. Yes even Kotor 2 (with restored content mod) is better than the the movies too.. But as a i was saying, in the prequels and in comics and the Clone Wars its stated that Tatooine is a source of pain for Anakin thats why i guess you cant say he didn't go down and take the plans himself personally and he had a team instead do it for him, but lets cross out the prequels, WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T VADER GO DOWN AND GET THE PLANS HIMSELF!? Look at the force unleashed expansion dark side alternate universe, starkiller went and got shit done by himself. I call it bullshit and laziness if you ask me. Let alone why is Vader taking orders from Tarkin? DUMB! I'm sorry thats sooo dumb.. I can go on and on.. But this is just a starter list.

    Kyle Phantom Also from as acting standpoint, it was a little flat. I mean of course it's better than anakin's acting in episode 2 but still, the acting is very one dimensional in the OT. At least with anakin you can see the inner struggle, with luke he might as well be jesus (for the most part). Having said this the OT acting is obviously better but people still shouldn't deem it infallible.

    That's the problem, you said you loved revenge of the sith. Believe me, the prequels are not as good as the original trilogy, but that's the problem, we compare these movies to the originals. We say all minor characters in these prequels are forgettable and shouldn't be praised, like general grievous or jango feat. But at the same time you have boba fett who is equally forgettable. Now I love all starwars characters but let's be real here, you can't say a silent bounty hunter that gets eaten by a sand vagina is better then some robot with 4 arms, they're equally minor, they don't need to be there. So let's not fight over characters and just watch the movies as they are. Star Wars.

    +Frank Woods But Boba in Empire and Jedi was always treated as a background character. He was never built up. The fanbase is the one who latched on to him in a way Lucas never anticipated (he said that if he had known, he wouldn't have killed him in Jedi). With Grievous, he was stated to be a dangerous adversary, yet Obi-Wan took out two of his four hands like they were nothing. That's the difference.

    +Frank Woods Don't try to argue with Star Wars "fans" that don't like half of the Star Wars movies. I think it's rather useless. It's become trendy to say that the prequels sucked, so many people will just go by it. I remember when 'Revenge of the Sith' came out and everybody was saying how amazing it was. It got really good reviews back then. And then, a few years later, it turns out everybody hates these movies. Call me weird but it doesn't make any sense to me.

    DavisWOW but if you are going to judge the prequel trilogy on that criteria, you should judge the original trilogy by the same standards, people hating on the prequels treat the OG trilogy like its this holy grail, when they are pretty bad too, a lot of stupid shit, you people hate on jar jar Bink's but don't hate on those annoying dumb huggy bears on return of the Jedi, or those stupid AT walker vehicles which are the most silly and unpractical vehicles you can think of, dialogues are pretty bad too, hate on anakins acting when Luke's isn't remarkable either, the dude never did much after star wars and its certainly not an amazing performance, I understand what you are saying about how growing up you've watched real movies and real.books but dude this is stuff for kids, if you go watch big heroes or frozen with that mindset you're gonna be disappointed on all the silly dialogues and stupid shit for kids, all star wars movies are movies for kids! You shouldnt judge them on different criteria ! When you watch toy story as an adult you still enjoy it because you know what's all about...

    Lorenzo Rey Camejo Except that the originals are good. He's not taking it too seriously he's analyzing it. People have done it for the originals and it turns out that the movies are actually amazing. The original trilogy has a fantastic story. The story still holds up today. Why else would people hate the prequels? For some reason when people say they hate them people like you just say it's because they're a fanboy. But no it's because they see that the prequels aren't as good. It's simple as that. They don't like the prequels because they aren't as good. Usually the people that like the prequels are younger and haven't realized yet that they aren't as good as the original masterpieces. That's just what I think though.

    +British Nerd But how can you not see that calling the Jedi bad is a COMPLETE slap to the face to the entire franchise??? Are we supposed to hate Obi-Wan and Luke now because they're Jedi's? I thought we were supposed to root for them, but nope. Prequels say otherwise. Prequels say that they're bad. See what I mean?!

  • @britishnerd3919

    @britishnerd3919

    Technologically Technical I always saw them as good people but working for an order that had too many contradictions and bad Jedi. During Prohibition there were several the police force was corrupt, but there were good, hard working police who were trying to do the right thing and that is how I see the Jedi in this film. Just because Obi-Wan and Luke are Jedi doesn't make them bad because they are the good fighting for the little person, but the Jedi Order had become too concerned with self-preservation. The Jedi needed a new breathe of life and that is what Luke was, making him even more of a hero for the Galaxy Far, Far Away.

    Blahblahblah14898 But it kind of ruins Star Wars. It was always meant to be a nice, simple story of good vs. evil. Jedi are good, sith are bad. Sweet, simple, to the point, just like the originals were intended to be. Then the prequels went and confused all of that.

  • @KazuyaMithra
    @KazuyaMithra8 жыл бұрын

    Honestly, criticisms of the prequels range from valid to pretentious nitpicking. Compared to several other movies that were released around the same time, they used a great deal of practical effects too. It's this kind of mentality that really divides the fanbase and its really not very fun to partake in when everyone is trying to justify their tastes and say why X movie is bad or what X movie did better than Y movie. But according to whom is your taste good or bad? The supreme chancellor of the internet? The only objective thing about any of the movies is that people who've seen them have an opinion on them. Its been over 10 years since this trilogy as finished, yet here we are, almost 2016, and people still won't get over it. And yes, I've seen the Plinkett reviews. They're very funny and great points are brought up, but do I seriously have to hate everything I read a negative review of?

    +KAZ Could you give an example of the "pretentious nitpicking" you've observed in prequel criticisms? Also, art is subjective. In fact, almost all of human experience is subjective, so please don't insert objectivity into places it doesn't belong in. Thirdly, it's been over ten years, and the prequel trilogy hasn't gone away. If someone built a statue next to your house that just appalled you and made you shudder in disgust every time you walked by it, when would it stop offending you? Lastly, no, you don't have to hate everything yo read a negative review of. You can if you want to, but you don't need it, and it's bad for you. Form your own opinions. If your opinion is honestly that the prequels were good, that's fine! Just understand that other people have formed opinions as well. Some of us have loved Star Wars almost our entire lives. It's the world we escape into in our spare time. It might seem trivial to you, but we love it. It's not trivial to us.

Even though I loved Revenge of the Sith as a kid, I have to agree with him at everything, maybe except Yoda's lightsaber, that didn't bothered me that much. It actually had a lot of action and story.1 and 2 were pretty bad in my opinion but not 3.

    Because Yoda represents the real nature of the force. It's not a superpower you use to fight and be super OP, because Yoda, the strongest force user in the OT, isn't a strong character, he isn't an imposing figure, he's just a little gremlin, because the force is beyond the physical, it's a luminous source of energy larger than life and beyond the simple material world we know, which is why there are so many incredible life lessons to be gained from his teachings beyond just the applications of the force, themes of learning from failure and how important it is, doing instead of trying so the possibility of failure isn't in your head, focusing on where you currently are instead of fixating on the future so you can be more productive with achieving said desired future, these are all incredible lessons that don't just apply to learning the force, but to all of us, and that's why yoda is the perfect representation of the jedi and the force, not because he's the most powerful jedi. He even says himself "a Jedi uses the force for knowledge and defense, NEVER for attack". But sure, Yoda has foughten before, I'm not against the idea of that, but the big issue was HOW they did it. You want to make this big fight between Yoda and Palpatine, these incredible masters of the force, that's alright, great even, but the problem is they treated these two as just another jedi and sith by being these flashy lightsaber deulists, when a much better option would be to make them fight exclusively with the force. They're both incredibly powerful old wizards, and like I said, Yoda (and Palpatine to an extent) is beyond the physical limitations of his body, so having an all out force battle would not only fit and understand the characters infinitely more, but it would also be a completely unique fight that would be so much more climactic, grand, and memorable. Making it so Yoda is just this aggressive backflipping swordfighter who spouts goofy cliche dialogue not only misses the point of the character, but it's also creatively bankrupt, and THAT'S what people have an issue with.

    Prequel thoughts: 1) I wish the story had been different, that Anakin had been older and that his fall to the dark side amounted to more than teen angst. 2) I wish the films were better written, leaner and about 90% less goofy. 3) I wish George Lucas, 20 years older than he was when he decided to delegate the workload for Empire Strikes Back, had not attempted to write and direct these films all by himself. Both aspects suffer badly as a result. 4) I hate all the CGI. As a child, I used to daydream about fighting alongside the rebels on the blockade runner, storming the death star corridors with Han, Luke and Leia, escaping up the millennium falcon ramp, etc etc. The sets looked part of a real universe I could touch and my imagination bought into it in a big way. Same with the ships and the puppets. For whatever reason, my eyes recoil at all the CGI and I don't feel part of the universe of the prequels in that same magical way. 5) The prequels did improve from film to film for me: I thought Episode I was too childish; I at least enjoyed some aspects of Episode II more; Episode III was better again - though points 1-4 still stand.

    The thing I liked about the prequels was that it introduced use to new worlds, like Mustafar, Coruscant (More thoroughly), Felucia, Kamino, etc. New species, and new characters like Qui-Gon (who is personally my favorite of the prequels), Mace Windu, Jango Jett, and many others. The factions such as the Republic and Seperatists (CIS) were also pretty interesting also. And maybe this is just me, but the Clones are one, if not, the most beloved things to come out of the prequels.

    Is not valid critic is a prejudice just because it is part of the prequels. Say what you will about any prequel but if we go by the TFA rule of apology. Revenge of the sith is by far a better movie than TFA and some times even the original. Specially for what it brings to starwars.

  • @w-james9277

    TFA is miles better than ROTS. It actually puts character and story over spectacle. ROTS is a bad movie imo. The characters are dull, the story is a mess, the CGI already looks dated, Anakin's turn to the dark side felt completely forced, the dialogue is horrible, its terribly shot and the directing is awful. Just because it has some flashy action and a good John Williams score doesn't make it good.

  • @w-james9277

    @w-james9277

    John christopher TFA is a fantastic film and brought the franchise back to life. It great had acting, characters who are relatable with tons of personality, a fun and engaging plot, action which is well directed and always keeps our characters in the foreground, a great John Williams score, good humour, a great use of film techniques including sound, lighting, camera angles, mise en scene etc…A villain which is greatly developed and complex, great, timeless effects (minus some CGI), great atmosphere, great world building, great and interesting character motivations and character interactions, great pacing, letting the action be part of the story and tell it for us, great emotional drama and it was brilliantly edited. ROTS is a empty, meaningless spectacle with flat, clumsy writing. None of the characters talk like real people, and their mouths are full of nothing but unsubtle, in-your-face efforts to express simplistic emotions or pointless exposition about war and politics that means little and goes nowhere. Anakin Skywalker comes across as a naive idiot who swallows every single obvious lie that Palpatine feeds to him. Nowhere do you see the grim cynicism of Vader emerging. He's simply duped into agreeing with Palpatine's paper-thin suggestions that the Jedi are trying to take over the Republic and are a force for ill rather than good. Ewan McGregor is obviously phoning it in as Obi-Wan, and he could scarcely come across as more uninterested in the motions of CGI action and exposition-laden dialogue that he goes through, although that's completely understandable. Ian McDiarmid completely hams it up as Palpatine, but again a large amount of this is due to the flawed dialogue. Palpatine goes from being a reasonably believable manipulator, to being someone completely, obviously evil in this who makes no attempt whatsoever to disguise his malevolence from those around him, making his subjugation of Anakin very difficult to believe and dependent on Anakin being a complete moron. What this film needed to do, I would argue, is not make Anakin into such an overtly furious character who is drawn to the Dark Side through what largely amounts to anxiety, but rather to realise him as an embittered, power-hungry cynic who sees service to Palpatine as a vehicle for his own ambition. This only emerges as a single piece of throwaway dialogue in the film when he suggests to Padmé, as he does to Luke, that the Emperor may be overthrown. The transformation is unsatisfying and at no point do we see Anakin metamorphose from a fundamentally good Jedi and friend of Obi-Wan to becoming the character we see in Star Wars of 1977. In the original trilogy, you get the sense that the only reason Vader and the Emperor haven't killed each other already is that they're simply using each other. And when a new alternative comes into the picture (Luke) they're quite happy to kill each other. Revenge of the Sith is an entirely fake-looking assault on the senses from the opening battle above Coruscant to the final duel on Mustafar. The film is so visually noisy, full of overly crisp-looking computer generated ships, environs, soldiers and creatures that it looks more like a sequence of mid-2000s video game cutscenes strung together than a film. The action, which primarily involves incoherent laser blasting battles and shots of Jedi bashing away endlessly at each other's lightsabers, is so excessive and fake that it is not remotely exciting or suspenseful; rather it is boring and weightless with no sense of reality. I believe that the action should serve the story. George Lucas obviously believes that the story should only serve the action. In the original trilogy, every laser blast, every swing of a lightsaber had weight to it. . The character of General Grievous is the WORST secondary antagonist in film history. He had no motivations and he looked terrible. He obviously exists only to sell toys, as the "cool cyborg with four lightsabers". Not only does Obi-Wan spend ages chasing him on a big lizard that goes "whoop whoop" but there's simply nothing to him as a villain. He's just some guy with a Russian accent who then dies. As has been stated countless times before, Darth Maul should obviously have been the secondary antagonist for all three films, or failing that Dooku. Instead of the class of Christopher Lee, in this film we get a CGI cyborg who only exists as a crude foreshadowing of Vader with his robotic limbs and raspy cough. Otherwise he serves no purpose beyond getting Obi-Wan away from Anakin for a bit. Furthermore, think about how stupid his role in the opening sequence is. If you consider the situation, with the captured Chancellor on board, you have all three leaders of the Separatist movement in the heart of battle where they're incredibly vulnerable rather than coordinating things behind the lines: you have Grievous, the military leader, Dooku, the political leader, and Sidious, the true leader behind the scenes, all in the one place. If anything goes wrong, the entire plan goes up in smoke immediately. Palpatine didnt need to fight anyone with a lightsaber. Note that in Return of the Jedi he refers to Luke's lightsaber as "your Jedi weapon" as if such things mean little to him. Within the context of the Originals, it's perfectly easy to explain that the reason Vader wields a lightsaber is because he's a former Jedi and not because all Force users, light or dark, wield such weapons. Palpatine also doesn't need to get his face all messed up. Couldn't it have just been explained as old age and the wear and tear of the corruptive Dark Side? As has been said elsewhere, Order 66 makes the Jedi, who previously have been shown in the Prequels as amazingly resilient, look hopelessly incompetent. Beyond the straightforward massacre at the Temple, there's no sense of what Obi-Wan describes in Star Wars as Vader helping the Empire hunting down and destroying the Jedi knights. By piloting Anakin's ship, is R2-D2 somewhat complicit in his crimes? I shouldn't have to even dignify this with a response because of what an utterly absurd proposition it is to argue that Revenge is better than the original trilogy and the force awakens. By any standard, the Original Trilogy and The Force Awakens are better films. The acting is better. See the confrontation between Luke, Vader and the Emperor on the second Death Star for an example of character drama done extremely well, by Hollywood sci fi action standards. The action is better: the lightsaber duel and the Battle of Endor are both composed in a way that is coherent, rather than just a nonsensical mess. The Original trilogy and Force Awakens also succeeds by actually having actual plots. Revenge of the Sith doesn't. In Revenge of the Sith a bunch of shit just happens in order to get the pieces in place for the Original Trilogy. Return of the Jedi for example ends on a meaningful note with the image of Anakin's redemption, unlike the utterly meaningless shot of the unambitious Uncle Owen posing like Luke at the end of Revenge of the Sith, even though Owen is completely unimportant (it could have at least been Obi-Wan.) The effects are also better in the Original Trilogy and The Force Awakens. Observe the creature feature of Jabba's palace for enjoyable, practical effects, compared to the mind-rotting CGI of Revenge at every turn, especially Obi-Wan's lizard thing and the inhabitants of that planet. Obi-Wan in Revenge (these characters no longer develop in any significant way except for Obi-Wan realising, in the context of the Prequels, what an abysmal failure he's been as Anakin's master) I can't really think of anything from it that I like except maybe that it's cool to see Vader and hear James Earl Jones again, even if the dialogue he has to deliver is eye-rollingly awful. Revenge of the Sith is a hollow, empty piece of bombast with no drama or interest. It's crap.

    I'll say this- for what Episodes I and II set up, RotS was as good as one could hope for. Minor gripes aside, it was a solid Greek Tragedy in Space. Yes, there are so many things they could have done better, but most of those things were already set up by the first 2 films. I feel, if somebody handed you Eps I & II and said "this is what we got so far, we need you to declutter this mess and stick the landing as best you can", then RotS would be something you could hand in proudly.

For me it represents the ending of the good days of the Republic and the Jedi. I consider the good days Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008 series) not the earlier prequels. Episode 3 is simply the dawn of a new era. I did agree however Yoda should have stayed more of a monk than a warrior. Nonetheless, I will still always love the prequels (AND ORIGINALS TOO) with all my heart. I'm no less a fan. Keep making good videos Greedo!

    I have an idea for the C3P0 problem. So C3P0 was built by Anakin. He was close to both Anakin and Padme. We also have proven that the droids have emotion just like the humans do. Throughout the movies including this one, show C3P0 get closer and closer to them. Wasn't he there when Anakin hurts Padme? If he wasn't put him there and have him speak out to Anakin. Have him try to defuse his master and long time friend. Then when Anakin still lashes out, he feels hurt and betrayed. Don't have his memory being wiped be a convenient sentence spewed last second. Have it be a conscious choice on C3P0's part. Make the pain from the whole incident to much for him, so he asks R2 to wipe his memory, so that he doesn't have to remember all of that. You could also use this to add a new layer to their friendship. Or, you know, not have Anakin build C3P0 in the first place.

This video really fuels me up to battle it out with all the trolls who want to hate on TFA or Rogue One (even though they have not even seen the film yet).

    The one thing I will say (because I get that the special effects is way too much) but the purpose and message of the Prequels is that the Jedi are basically neutered, cold, self righteous jackasses. Also yeah there’s a lot of lightsabers in the Prequels because this is the era where there were a shit ton of Jedi and that was the Jedi’s weapon of choice

Is anything in the star wars universe considered "true star wars material" outside the original trilogy to you? I realize that your views on the prequals are just your opinions but stop stating them as if it's part of some "true star wars fan handbook". Do you realize how many star wars fans became fans cause of the prequals? I'd rather have a whole generation of star wars fans who love all 6 movies opposed to half of the stars wars saga.

    Before I start, I LOVE the original trilogy more than anything. I hate the Phantom Menace and I fall asleep to Attack of the Clones. Episode III though was a good movie. If you focus too much on how bad this movie is compared to the originals, you won't enjoy it for what it is. It's not a bad movie. It's nowhere near as good as the originals but you make it sound like its the worst thing to happen since Phantom Menace. Another thing I don't get is that everyone complains about using CG and green screen over special effects. Look at Avatar, 90% of it was CG. What happened to it? Oh right it made $2 billion and unlike Episode 1, it had no previous material to hold it up. Plus it was a great movie. CG doesn't make a bad movie, the director does. George did whatever he wanted with no one telling him what was wrong and not. That worked in the original trilogy. He had no big named company to answer to and he made 3 of the best films in history. He then got a big head, and thought he could do whatever he wanted and get away with it. George is a good story teller. Look at the basic plot of the prequels, it's actually pretty good and they had the amazing actors to make what could have been one of the best movies ever made. But George had no one to answer to and he made the prequels. Remember, Episodes 5 and 6 were written by George but were directed by two different directors and they gave us the two best Star Wars movies. It's actually a shame that the directors aren't given the credit they deserve. and passed away with most fans forgetting about them. Now imagine if Steven Spielberg or James Cameron directed the prequels, then they would be amazing, but George was the writer, producer, and director and had no one to answer to but himself. For this next film, they have a whole team of people who are dedicated Star Wars fans working on Episode 7. Who knows if this will be good or not but it looks promising. The last thing to point out is that we shouldn't ignore the prequels. It's been 10 years since Episode III came out and and there's no way to get rid of them. It's time to recognize their existence and move on. It's getting old how every Star Wars fan is dissing on the prequels instead of making videos on how great the originals were. Bashing the prequels doesn't make them go away.

    Zombotron5678 I agree on the CGI. CGI dosent ruin movies, if its done right, like in the LOTR. However too much CGI can take away the action, and look too clean, and out of the place (like in the Hobbit 3). So movies have to find the balance bethween cgi and practical effects. My biggest issue with epsiode 3 is the way that Anakin turned to the dark side. I mean fighting for the loved is a beautiful aim, but IMO it is just too overused in movies, almost every movie is about that. So the way he actually turned is just too unsatisfying to me, I expected a way better story with actual hard decisions, and a depth to the characters. I mean Anakin just turned, and after that he goes and murders everyone he knew and grown up with, even the children. WTF? And Sidious says he cant revive Padme if she dies, cause its only been done by one sith before. BUT Padme gives birth in like the NEXT DAY! So why didnt Anakin realise that he cant save Padme? BTW how could've Padme died during childbirth in a technological wonderland, in a hospital under the supervision of future doctors? And then, Padme dies without any actual reason. And the prequels made the Jedi look like an assembly for idiots. They should have realised that Sidious is a sith (Windu even say they were LOOKING for a sith!), and like Greedo said, they should have sent more Jedi to get down Grievous (and Maul in ep 1, just imagine 50 jedi in front of him at the palace, they could have easelly capture him alive, and solve everything in ep 1). So a lot of things dosent make any sense in ep3. And for me the fact that the Senate just accepts, that Sidious made the 1000 generations old democracy to dicature is just too stupid. I mean it was the end days of the war, there was no reason to a dictature anymore. So even tho ep 3 is way better than the first 2, it still has very bad story (with a lot of plotholes, and contradictions to the originals) and the characters are still uninteressting, boring and badly written (the dialogues are very bad too).

    Alright so, DavisWOW, I can see how that would be a problem for Episode III. I mean no one suddenly turns evil and slaughters hundreds of Jedi, including friends and children. Padmé dying during childbirth because she lost the will to live isn't exactly the best way either. If I were to do it Id take a darker turn by having Padme have kids and either killing herself or die at the Emperor's hands. With Palpatine being a Sith, would you expect ot? Ok we all did but they didn't. For example, unless you're into conspiracies, you probably would be shocked if say Obama turned out to be a Nazi or had ties to Terrorist organizations. Everyone trusted him, although with caution as the war began to end. The Jedi didn't have the resources to send 50 Jedi onto Grievous. Geonosis saw the massacre of 100+ Jedi, and hundreds more were killed during the war. And most of what remained of the Jedi were either spread thin across the galaxy continuing the fight or stayed at the temple cause many Jedi did not want to fight or were protecting the temple. And then Obi-Wan was a leading, lifetime member of the Jedi Council and one of the best fighters the Jedi Order had plus he had experience fighting with Grievous, being one of the few Jedi that survived one of his attacks, let alone dozens of them. And while Grievous was a great fighter, he was a coward. He would run and hide if too many Jedi attacked him at once. And even if he didn't, if you've seen the Star Wars: Clone Wars mini series, 7 Jedi attacked him and he killed 4 of them, nearly killed two of them, and Ki-Adi-Mundi almost died fighting him. And there was also the droid army and Magna Guards, which were specially trained to hunt and kill Jedi. The Senate issue you bring up, I agree. They tried covering up by saying that they were corrupt but not a single one of them realized that they were following a power-hungry Sith Lord? Not very convincing. The movie had a bunch of flaws but as a fan of the X-Men Franchise, I'm use to continuity errors and plot-holes. The characters were uninteresting, besides Yoda, Obi-Wan, Grievous, and Sidious, but that's because of George Lucas. I mean Samuel L Jackson was boring in that movie. The same guy that plays Nick Furry and was on Snakes on a Plane, Jurassic Park, and many more films that he rocked in, was the most boring character in the film. That one stormtrooper, that's understandable. Not everyone likes the same movies. I actually have a friend who hated Star Wars even though everyone she's friends with are Star Wars nuts (like me). So that's alright. The Electrocist, that's because Avatar's Sequels were way too delayed to make much hype, say Empire Strikes Back never came out, I doubt Star Wars would be where it is today because that movie added Yoda and most importantly, I Am Your Father, one of the most memorable and shocking quotes in movie history. Fern Gully: The Last Rainforest, is that really what Avatar is based off of? I'll have to check out that movie sometime.

    Zombotron5678 I agree with you . IMHO ep3 should've benn split into two episodes: into ep 2 and e3. And AOTC should'been ep 1 (TPM has almost nothing to do with the story, only very small parts, I the story would be even better imho without midiclorians, or the prophecy) Or maybe SW prequels would've been better in a series like Game of Thrones. Well at least in my opinion ep3 feels too rushed, Anakin suddenly turns, the jedi suddenly gets destroyed, the Senate suddenly turns a 1000 generations old democracy to dicatorship. It tried to tell a story what needed at least 2 movies (the first part could've ended with Anakin's turn) And I remember watching the clone wars mini-series back in 2003-4 and Grievous was a fckin badass there. But in ep 3 they made him like a standup comedy guy. IMHO Grievous would've been enough as a villain during the whole 3 movies under Palpatine. IMO the fact that there were 2 sith lords (Maul and Dooku) comming out of nowhere, and died like they were absolutely unimportant is just simply bad. Siths should've been unique, and not on every fckin corner. And I love X-men series too since first class. DoFP was a great movie IMO, and we dont care about the plot-inconviences, because they are good movies. But the SW prequels arent good movies (IMO ofc) so the plotholes just make them far worse.

    "Your father wanted you to have this when you were older, but your uncle wouldn't allow it." "He feared you'd follow old Obi-Wan on some damn fool-idealistic crusade like your father did." This backstory gave SO MUCH potential for a REAL prequel storyline between Owen and Anakin! It's so easy to envisage Owen being the grounded sibling, bailing Anakin out of a major ordeal and then arguing with Anakin about continuing down that road. Later after further burdening Owen with his son AND THEN wanting his son to have his lightsaber, Owen forbids it fearing it would just corrupt Luke in the same way. There could've been several PASSIONATE arguments between the two, providing such rich character development it would've made people actually CARE about the tragedies that would later transpire. Empire is a perfect example of that. Han and Leia's arguments really endeared them to us, so by the time Han is tortured and lowered into Carbonite, we really feel Leia's pain. THAT'S Star Wars.

    General Grievous was such a disappointing character. I remember thinking he was going to be the new Darth Maul kind of character for Revenge of the Sith based on how fantastic he was in the 2003 Clone Wars series, but then in the film they made him this complete coward who runs away from everything. And they continued that trend in the 2008 Clone Wars series unfortunately.
